PS and RWS failure on my GT3

I wouldn't try to fix it and sure hope the fault still shows up when I get to the dealer. Otherwise if you clear the error the dealer has nothing to fix and the problem might re appear. You want it fixed permanently. They need to see it in the fault condition.

Sorry to hear the battery disconnect didn't work.
The fault is permanent,it doesn't need to reappear. Don't worry the fault codes are stored, you have not done anything wrong for disconnecting the battery. The only thing is that the car will show with several IM monitors not complete. No big deal.
Something is certainly malfunctioning.
Good luck and let us know the outcome.

Finally heard from the dealer this morning after 2 days in the shop. The good news (for you guys) is that the breakdown was not the fault of the car. The bad news (for me) was that a rat apparently crawled up into the engine bay while the car was parked in the garage and chewed right through a wiring harness at a connector. Repairs are on my dime, since the warranty doesn't cover pest damage. The really bad news is that parts are on backorder and I won't get my car back for 1-1/2 weeks (estimated). I needed it for the last Zone 8 autocross of the year this Sunday at El Toro. I guess I'll go looking for a co-drive.
Rats are a big problem here in La Jolla. I've trapped dozens over the years in the yard and in the house, but this is the first time I've had them damage a car in the garage. That fresh Black Forest wire insulation must be particularly aromatic. I am going on the warpath against them immediately.

Yikes. At least you didn't get your McLaren's firewall chewed through! http://www.mclarenlife.com/forums/mc...uuuuuuuck.html
Good luck fighting the pests!
