I've never been excited about a mustang before. But this seems to tick a lot of boxes. Does anyone have a link to real world track testing. I've watched the R/T etc, etc and searched for mustang forum. (Can't believe I said that) but so far haven't heard anything.

7.32 on the Nurburgring work? It's doing mid to low 1.30's on Laguna Seca with a professional driver. They did a recent test against the Z/28 - 2 seconds faster lap time. The GT350 also pulls faster lap times than the Porsche GT4 and is apparently a lot more entertaining to drive.

I'd imagine it will be bulletproof just like every other Ford Racing / SVT product built for the track. Least of my worries with their cars.

This sounds really good. Just heard from my contact that they will deliver one tomorrow. I'll be back in the US Sunday so can't wait to check it out. Unfortunately the buyer specced sofa seats. So can't really check seat position which is key for me being 6'2. The seat in the regular mustang is positioned way to high.

Almost sounds to good to be true.

Amazing engine
Reliable gearbox
No cooling issues
Rear seat in gt350 to take the kids to school.

What's the catch?

My local dealer had a GT350 with the Recaro's that they let me sit in it so I could see if the seating position would work for me. I’m 6’7 but my height is mostly in my legs. I found the seating position without a helmet on to be great for me, but I think wearing a helmet in the Recaro’s would be a challenge for those of us that are taller.

Unless you got one of the 2015 R's, of which there were only 37, there weren't any real production R's in 2016 built till the last few weeks so of course the prices are way elevated, but I haven't seen any at all even to bid on.

They will come available. I really do think this car is a long term collectable, and you could drive it every day. They even sell back seat kits for the car for $1995 which look factory.

I was offered two non-R's at MSRP(2016) at my dealer when they were first announced, but at 5000/year anticipated production, I want a chance at an R so I passed. The difference in the two is much greater than one initially thinks, with the carbon wheels and other tidbits making it a much better handler. The R exhaust sounds WAY better also.

Pobst LOVES the car.

If one ever had the chance to buy a 2015 for under 100K, that would be impossible to pass up for a collectible.

I want an R too. My GT350 non R is in chicago awaiting truck transport. Should be here next week. I am going to drive this one and if I can get an R I'll likely switch her up. Meanwhile I'm going to enjoy the "regular" one.

Can't wait for your report. Does it have track package? Guess it will be hard to take it straight to the track in Chicago this time of the year?

Buddy of mine gets his delivered today. Unfortunately the business spec. Trying to convince him to take it to Sebring with us first weekend of Jan. But, he doesn't seem to interested. 👎

You are correct. Available from Ford Performance parts very soon, even matching the factory stitching patterns. Nice.

In competition road racing I never see the cars being "drifted" - smoking tires & sliding sideways.

Why in video road tests/reviews do they beat on these cars so hard.... trying to show what?
