OT - Mc675LT Spyder
Other than the wheels, I'd say this one-uped the 458 Spyder that I used to think was quite sexy.

This is not good news for the people that bought the Coupe unfortunately! I feel they were cheated by Mclaren because of Mclaren's promise to build "500 only IN COUPE format Only".

First, it's real competitor is the 488 Spyder, second, I doubt anyone will be buying either 675LT coupe or Spyder at big discounts. I prefer ultra performance cars in coupe flavor and my convertibles are more cruisers.

I was just offered a used fully loaded Coupe at a Killer price. I am just looking at the spec sheet right now Mclaren better be worried what they gonna get from their loyal clients.

I thought the statement made by McLaren was more ambiguous than that. Maybe didn't have the second "only" in your quote. I know many McLaren owners are mad. Seemed a given that McLaren would do this from the outside.

This is the exact language from the 675LT press release: "The 675LT is offered as a coupe only, and limited to only 500 examples worldwide."
Yes, McLaren owners are mad because the total production number (couple and spider combined) will be more. Many more are mad because "if I knew they were going to make a spider, I wouldn't have bought the coupe."
As far as performance goes, the coupe and spider are pretty much identical, and the spider outsold the coupe on previous McLaren models by a huge margin when they were offered concurrently.

yeah well when they released that video a long long time ago in a galaxy far away, the spyder version was not available for spec, deposit, or sale. one year later, here we are and the spyder will start selling in april of next year. so almost 2 model years between announcement of coupe and sales of spyder...if you are mad about that I'm sorry.
if anyone has driven the 675LT (especially on track like I have) then you will have ZERO complaints owning it. a lot of new money guys that are overextended on their car purchases (aka lambo leasers) crying but basically if you have 350k-400k and are shopping between a 200k over MSRP GT3RS, an aventador, a 458 speciale, etc etc the 675LT beats every car in every possible and measurable way.

My biggest car regret this year was not getting a 675LT slot when I could. Hesitated for a few days and they were all gone - I don't think you'll see any coupes being dumped.

I still think the 675LT is THE sports car to own if one has the funds and actually plans to drive your car. I can understand current owners not liking the spyder coming out with the same name given that literature, but at at the same time one has to have expected it could come out...I don't think there will be too many discounts either. Lord knows if that coupe was a bit cheaper I'd have one and be done with other sports cars...

I had a coupe offered to me yesterday. On the ground and no mark up.
