Roof scoop mainly for looks and sound honestly.. I'm not gonna lie. But it is CF. So the whole roof is replaced by CF with the scoop. I also like that McLaren is one of the few manufacturers that do a roof scoop on their supercars/hypercars. I think it also ties in with the F1/P1. It's a custom option that McLaren Special Operations does.. .as well as the louvred front fenders.

And inside the ducting is beautiful:

Oh wow, very cool. I had no idea mclaren would offer this from the factory. They did a great job incorporating it. The one I was so lucky to get a ride in earlier this week didn't have that option. The owner was very generous to offer hot laps to fellow enthusiasts.

Yeah McLaren's Special Operations group is amazing. They let you do a lot... but it comes at a cost. The coolest was that they hadn't ever done Mexico Blue. So they spray painted a card and a small car and sent it to me to confirm it was exactly the shade of blue I wanted.

Wow that McLaren is gorgeous. Mexico Blue certainly is a big hit on the 675LT.

The cars in this thread...ugh. Was enough to get me to go and put a deposit down on the first LT version they do with the new 570 chassis. That will be in my ballpark. Have to say Im more excited by the LT cars than RS/GT cars of late.

Default You win.

Mexico blue LT with hood vent and roof intake. Came out amazing-congrats.

The pics do make me feel pretty good about the Mexico RS I have on order though.

Firstly Neo that is one gorgeous looking car. I thought I'd died and gone to Heaven when I saw Cerulean blue on the car but Mexico is making me wonder? I also love that roof scoop - both inside and out and "yes" I'm sure MSO made you "pay" for it!!

I was at a track day at Sonoma on 10/31 that was hosted by McLaren of SFO and so a lot of the Macca boys turned out. Here are a couple of shots from that garages next to us - almost a full house. Have to say the P1 looks soooo menancing to me and this one was beuatifully done out with orange highlights and a 007 on the side. Not sure if that was an MSO touch or after market?
And coincidentally just a call to say the demo 570S is on the boat and should be ready to driven early in January.

A friend of mine has a Mexico Blue GT3RS on order. I agree, it should look great!

Yeah that's my buddy Nadeem's P1. He has a 650s, 675LT coupe, 675LT spider on order... and an Aventador SV on order. His cars are stunning.

Yeah Cerulean is a cool color - but something about the purity of the Mexi Blue just gets to me.

Just drove a 570S and here are some highlights:

-Car is very very comfortable I mean BMW 5 series comfort level and I can see myself using this as a daily
-Suspenion is super compliant did I mention how comfortable it was
-Seats are also very nice and I like how they slanted down the door sills so that getting in and out of car is much easier than 12C and 650S
-Car has virtually no torque until you floor the pedal and it hits a minimum of 5k rpm
-Axle lift feature is confusing and difficult to use
-Exterior of car is still ugly to me and interior is gorgeous

For $2200 lease a month this has essentially created a new vehicle category where you can buy a carbon fiber tub sports car with doors that go up.

Personally would still rather buy a 991
turbo or turbo s if I had to make a choice over a 570S.

It was done aftermarket. As was any of the other exterior orange trim that you see. (It's decals / wraps.)
