Mind PM'ing me the details, and the spec, if you're passing?

I may be interested if the spec matches what I want.

Thanks!

A little OT. While I was at my dealer the other night one of the first 570S that has landed in Canada was being taken for a test drive with "Singer", (Rob Dickinson)

Clearly mentions available as a "COUPE ONLY"

http://cars.mclaren.com/featured-art...optimised.html
The statement was 100% true at the time. It was offered only as a coupe at that time and the coupes are limited to 500 units.

I don't see where McLaren promised to never make Spyders. If dealers were telling customers that this would never happen, that's one thing, but otherwise it be customers read too much into it.

Agree with CJ.

Idk, but "coupe only" seems to imply pretty strongly there would be no spyder. Sure its not a hard promise but why include that language at all if a spyder was in the works?

Similar to:
Feb 17 2014: "The McLaren 650S joins the range as an additional model alongside the 12C"

Apr 14 2014: "we have decided to cease [production of the 12C] in light of the success of the 650S"

Amazing cars but McLaren needs to be more transparent with their customers. Decisions around automotive production cycles do not turn on a dime.

I'm one of those that's annoyed at McLaren... but I love my Mexico Blue 675LT nonetheless. Had a GT4 on order as well.. but turned that down to spec my 675LT as follows:

What's with the scoop on the roof? Got a ride along in one at a local track a few days ago, very very impressive car. My a$$ is too fat for the seats though.

Mexico Blue looks great on the McLaren! wow. I had my specs when I got the confirm of a '16 GT3 build & asked for Mex Blue. I think it would look even better on the GT3 RS with the black vents - really like how the carbon ties in with this vehicle.

Mex Blue on the GT3RS would be killer! You're exactly right the contrasting vents and rear wing supports on the Mexi blue would be incredible. It sounds like PTS is a PIA though for ordering custom colors?

Yeah I did not predict it would be this popular. It looks just beautiful in person. I think I lost my mind when Chris Harris retweeted my car.

Thanks man... I still love Porsches though. In fact, I have so much respect for Porsche that they keep the GT cars free from convertible status. I suspect that's why the RS and GT brand from Porsche continues to be valuable. They did it right.
