Who would request PTS for your next GT car?

I would not pay over what they currently ask for PTS. You probably lose me at $8000. But, I too would like to PTS my next car. It has nothing to do with Re-sale because I have to find a Customer who likes the color I select. A more neutral color easier move. I know I keep reading about all these PTS cars holding better value so I guess I have to believe it must be true but would never be part of my decision and I would not pay more for a second hand car because it was PTS.

I would definitely get PTS. A unique car deserves a unique color. That being said, I think white is the most flattering color on the 991 body. I don't think I'd risk losing an allocation if that's what it meant to wait for the PTS. I'd be happy with white. But if it's just a few extra months, PTS would be nice.

I tried to get it on the current car in Viper Green but couldn't get it. I was looking at a manual GTS in PTS Voodoo Blue and Beachwood was able to lock one in but I passed. Great dealer.

PTS is something I really wanted at first, but after all the BS you have to put up with, I'm not so sure its worth it. There certainly is some truth that if it was too easy, it might not hold future values. In the bigger picture I believe in the last few years with all the available money around, the car world has gone crazy, prices have skyrocketed along with these PTS colour cars. If the markets tank and we go back into tougher times, I wonder how in demand would PTS be?

If they allow unlimited PTS, then there will be more "mexico blues and viper greens" than standard colors. Exclusivity goes out the window.
I would much prefer better standard color choice. Porsche needs to take a lesson from BMW's M division.

I agree that the standard palette should be better, but I'm not sure about your first statement. Ferrari allows for PTS like options, yet its signature color is still probably the most ordered color. Perhaps increasing the price of PTS to Ferrari levels will allow for unlimited PTS but still ensure exclusivity. I also think PTS should be controlled as only an option for the top tier P-cars (sorry Boxsters, Caymans, Macans, etc) in order to keep the PTS colors more exclusive and allow the factories to accommodate an always open PTS window.
