Break in procedure for RS before tracking
I'm sure this has been covered but can't seem to find it ..
What have you guys done for pre track break in ...did you do a oil change after break in ?

The porcedure i take in place :
kilometer-Max Tr/mn-notes
500 - 5000 - use manual shifting
600 -5250 -use manual shifting
700 -5500 -use manual shifting
800 -5750 -use manual shifting
900 -6000 -use manual shifting
1000 -6250 -use manual shifting
1100 - 6500 -use manual shifting
1200 -6750 -use manual shifting
1300 -7000 -use manual shifting
1400 -7000 -use manual shifting
1500 -7000 -use manual shifting
2000 -8800
3000 -8800 -ok for launch control (not before) and for track
max 4000 tr/mn temperature below 80°C (starts)

You might as well have asked for the procedures for ******** doggy style.
Everyone does it differently. No particular way is doggier than the other. It's what pleases you in the end (well the dogs too).
Me, I don't buy doggy style. Pound them from mile zero as long as the fluid's warm.

imo put about 2 k miles on it.this will give brakes/clutch/trans axle and motor to mesh. change oil and go at it. remember those 2k miles ....you are getting to know the car too. if you go right from dealer to track be prepared to go right in to the first wall. people who say open it up day one own match box or leggo made cars and type from their mommies basement.

I think I read somewhere that AP recommends slowly increasing rpm up to 1200-1500 miles and then let it loose. I think the 2k mile recommend USA break in was written up by lawyers.
