No definitive updates yet. I went to the dealer this weekend to pick up a loaner and talked to the tech who was working on my car. He said the one thing that differentiates my issue is that they are seeing errors for the cylinder injectors, in addition to the misfire codes. He said this wasn't typical of the pattern with the other cars that have had misfires and had their engines replaced. They sent the data up the Porsche service hierarchy today, so I hope to receive a plan of action in the next few days. I'm not pressing them for now. I missed my last planned track day of the season this past weekend, so I don't really need the car back until after the holidays. I'm going to enjoy trying out a few loaner models in the interim. Will report back as soon as I get a firm plan of action.

Thx. The injectors have been reported in the past. Macca is keeping a good track of these issues.

The dealer informed me late yesterday that they are going to replace the injectors in the two cylinders with the error codes and then rerun the diagnostics. The whole process seems to be going very slow since the dealer is taking direction from Porsche engineering.

Robert. I believe the result will be the same as soon as they exceed 7000rpm. It will throw the same code. I hope I am wrong but I believe the inevitable is being delayed.

Just got my car back. They replaced two of the cylinder injectors and re-ran all the tests and it checked out fine. I confirmed the tests included 7,000+ RPM cycles and I made sure I got into the upper RPM ranges on the drive back from the dealer with no problems. Planning on taking it to the track (AMP) this Sunday to make sure the repairs can survive a full track session. It felt great to have it back. The car feels like a surgical instrument compared to my Cayman S that I dropped off for service.

It is going to be quite the holiday for some lucky RS owners - I saw three still wrapped RS's that had just arrived at the dealer (Jim Ellis aka Perimeter).
