Default RECALL on 991 GT3

I picked my car up yesterday with the recall completed.
The SM said the spark plugs are very different now.

When were you given the notice? Interesting point about recalibrating oil pressure...

That first sentence is an outright lie, unless they are talking about Mezger of course. It is a street engine trying to be refined for the track.

How dare them use a blanket statement to cover 991 gt3[/sarcasm]

Interesting. I picked up my 15 GT3 (US spec) after it's 1 year service at the dealer yesterday. SA said everything is up to date. I'm due for new plugs in about 1500mi and was quoted $1010 for the job.

Porsche UK have stated it only affects 35 cars.
I don't know if that's in the UK alone or globally.

I feel quite happy to be one of the chosen few to get my data record RS'd a bit

Me too. I was told there were no updates that came up when they ran the VIN.

I contacted my local P dealer and was told to wait for a letter from Porsche as it may be VIN specific. Another service agent at another Porsche dealer 30 miles away said there was a campaign but that they haven't done any cars yet. So I am going to wait till I get the word officially I guess.

So, they would send me a letter if my car would need to have this campaign?

I guess I will call my dealer on Monday. If it needs to be done I would prefer ASAP before I put her away for the Winter.

To date, I have been very happy with the GT3 in regards to quality/reliability. I have owned other Porsches and all have been great. The only issue has been the thermostat that had to be replaced which was no big deal

I just got my car back from 1 year service and no word about this. I guess it must be a small recall
