Default RS wheel on GT3.. is lowest cost way to have RS...Haha

Hello Fellas - I have tried diligently to get an RS allocation and refuse to spend the $100k+ markup for the Lava Orange RS' with sport seats for sale at the moment... so I have decided to stop the search and enjoy my GT3... with that said...

I have ordered an RS steering wheel and airbag and will have GMG install on my GT3; I know this has been discussed, but it seems no one has tried.. I am trying and will post the results once complete. At least this will provide me with the illusion of driving an RS. Haha.

Another interesting benefit of GT3 is that you can get Trofeo R's (RS can only fit Cup 2's), which are good for 1+ second per 60-sec lap vs. Cup 2's... so a GT3 with Trofeo R's in capable hands should be able to keep up with the RS... at least that's what I keep telling myself... LOL LOL.

Sounds good. You are already faster than all previous manual GT3 and RS. Enjoy it!

Thank you for trying this! Amazing that nobody on here has done so yet.

Did you order a leather or Alcantara wheel?

Going all in with RS airbag order too?
You have to order that with the wheel in order to make it work.. wheel is about $2900 and airbag is about $950 or so.

Cool! The GT3 to RS price delta is hard enough to justify, without even considering markups! I have a feeling that anyone with patience will be able to secure an RS at MSRP.

Can't wait to hear the results. I'd order a leather one for my car if it all works out (I have stock leather wheel in the GT3).

I'd love if Porsche dropped a bomb on the stealerships and flippers/speculators by announcing that they'll produce 2017 .1RS cars.

Here is GT3 wheel:
http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU991GT3SW.html

Here is RS wheel:
http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU991RSSTEER.html

RS wheel is 10mm less in diameter and has yellow stripe and IMO, looks way better and more focused.

In terms of thickness, I think they are close to same; however, RS wheel is less diameter and has shorter **** throws for PDK. IMO, it's a real upgrade.. and looks great vs. GT3 wheel.

Yes, the RS paddles feel great... short and crisp.

so the steering wheel will fit for certain as long as you get the RS airbag correct?
You can get the RS airbag from suncoast also or need to get separately from dealership?

Thanks!
