What to do next??!!!
Well, what will be my next car?? Have room for only (1) toy and I have come to the conclusion that what a great time for all sport cars enthusiasts. I have the 991 GT3 and very happy- but what next??
I do not track and not a huge fan of the wing on the RS. But- would I grab one at MSRP- sure, I would be an idiot not to but would not pay over. The GT4 gets me just a little excited because I would love the Manual. But, not enough to give up the GT3 and 9000 rpm. How about the Z07; never a fan of their styling but do respect what they have accomplished with this model. Mercedes AMG GTS???- love the looks and great reviews but just some thing lacking. How about the new 570S; can't say it has not caught my attention but Turbo charged engine, huge depreciation, and their marketing strategy on this model has me on the sidelines. Not willing to call it a Super car but just a Sportscar for the street does not give me a woody. Now, the new R8 V 10 plus has got me thinking. The Huracan engine in a new improved R8 could be interesting for $200,000. I do like the new front and rear and motor trend has it at 2.6 seconds to 60 m ph. NA engine with an 8850 redline. This car could be the sleeper right now

What about a 458? I owned one for 3 years and there are lots around for around 200k.

I had a red F430 that attracted attention, my black 458 attracted a lot less. My '11 RS attracted as much attention as the Ferraris.

If I go Ferrari, it seems like I should get the color that really sell the car to me, because I assume a 458 will get monster attention anyway. A black 458 might cut that in half, but it's still a lot of attention.
Getting back to Jimmy's question, I think a 458 in a dark color might be the way to go. I love my GT3, but if you don't plan to track yours, there are other great weekend cars out there. I wouldn't have purchased a GT3 if I didn't plan on tracking her regularly as the track is where the GT3 really shines above the competition. For regular weekend driving including back road blasts, there are lots of great cars superior to the GT3 for those purposes.

If you do not track, then I would be careful about getting into these hyper performance cars. Already it is hard to use the performance of the GT3 on public roads. Therefore, feel and driver involvement are important for some. Thus, I would drive something like the 570S to check it out, though GT3 is probably more capable at track.
Some people are excited by a a c are capability even if they don't use it or use very little of it. Some are excited by the task of driving. Trick is finding a nice comprOmise between two.

If warranty is not important I would go for a 964 backdate or Singer copy.
But it obviously depends on a lot of factors.
Do you like attention. Ferrari/lambo is the way to go.
I agree with you that the gt3 looks really classy!
Street driving in the US is in most places no fun with a 500hp+ car. Need a race track to push these cars in a safe way.
The hunt is fun.

Wait for the "LT" version of the 570S, or pick up a used 570S in a year after the main depreciation hit. I dont think anything new under $200k compares with the GT3, so stick to your current car or get the 991.2 version.
After owning GT3s and a McLaren, I dont find anything from audi/ferrari/lamborghini that compares as a "complete package."
Now, I think that unless youre unhappy with your GT3, I think its crazy to sell it. Especially when you factor in price.

If you end up the 458 route get black ...My current stable of Ferraris are all black except my 355 and I wish it was black. Black is the best color on a Ferrari if you want to reduce attention as much as possible. It's certainly the reason that many manufacturers black out test mules, it doesn't grab your eye the way the other colors do.

I had the R8 V10 with the Stasis ECU tune, exhaust and BMC Carbon filters. The car was probably making close to 590hp, although I never had it on a dyno. It was capable, but just not very exciting. I would tend to think of you like the lightness and drama of the GT3 you may not like the R8. I actually traded it for the RS7 and did the APR tune. Although more like a muscle car than a sports car, it's more fun than the R8. Still looking forward to the 991.2 RS, though, for a car to do more spirited driving on twisty back roads.

I think everyone's first Ferrari should be red....its just the iconic color....but the attention gets old real fast....I love the Grigio Silverstone and get a ton of compliments without being to loud....

Grigio Silverstone is awesome......for me Rosso Corsa not so much. I don't think I will have a problem finding a Red Ferrari in future should I change my mind

I'm in your shoes..
Waiting it out for .2 GT3 if it's a manual in PTS or .2 RS. Oh, and having a hard time resisting a 997RS :/
In the meantime just drive!
