Cleaning lady says new RS allocations coming next week. Volume about 1/3 of original allocation batch.

Got the call on Friday for a RS allocation. $10K over MSRP. I took it. Believe its a June delivery. My previous 2 allocations were stolen right under my nose so I could see the same happening with this one.

Congratulations! This is the first I have heard of re-opening the PTS window on the gt4...so that's great!

Two Questions for You:

A) Is it a VIP slot for PTS not normally available to most other customers?

And

B) Are they considering your gt4 allocation a late MY2016? Or is it an early MY2017?

Because I didn't think PAG has committed to MY2017 production on the gt4 as of this date!
So that would be 'news'!

Here is why Porsche needs to make more RS; A.) leaving too much money on the table; B.) the spirit of the brand and loyalists are getting a bad taste in their mouth risking them to move on; C.) at the marked up, inflated prices; Porsche fans are now in the super car range and can shop Ferrari, McLaren, Lambo, etc. and could lose loyalists to those brands and D.) they risk losing the entire hallmark of the GT3 range, which is massive performance and driver reward at 1/2 the price of a Ferrari. Regardless if they make more RS; once the fed starts to tighten and stop rewarding speculation and spending and start rewarding savers with interest rates; this car bubble will pop; and at that time, if I don't already get allocation at or close to MSRP, will snag a lightly used RS at or below that price... or maybe a McLaren. Lol.

Congrats! That's a good deal! Best $10K you'll spend!

Hey guys,

Please pardon my ignorance but I am trying to learn how this process works. For those who are being offered a "slot" for a GT4 or RS allocation is that by an authorized Porsche dealership? Does that slot allow you to build the car to your spec? Also is that slot MSRP+ Stealership market adjustment aka markup?

It sounds like there are a handful of Porsche dealers that are surprisingly turning up with inventory and they are going to a select number of their valued customers or some guy like me walks in to their showroom, right time and right place (lucky or knowledgeable enough to walk in) and can leave a deposit. ...or is it some of you guys are just connected and have an insider's track paired with deep pockets and a simple mortal like myself just has no chance at a RS?

That is why I asked in my original post in this thread (post 15). I wasn't sure if NateOZ (and others) knew for sure or if this was just guesswork/speculation by folks.

If PTS has opened for the GT4 again, that would indeed be 'news'. I look forward to Ichiban's response.

Thank you. That's what I figured however I have been through this dance before only to be left at the alter empty handed because of dealer's greed. Hopefully this won't happen this time.

The best part of those additional RS allocations would be that they burn all those speculators/flippers/stealerships that are asking those crazy premiums...already happened with more GT4 allocations. I heard McKenna Porsche actually called people offering a GT4 for $35k over MSRP on Friday...someone forgot to tell them about all the new GT4 allocations released the same day....idiots.

Love it! Last year, McKenna tried to sell me a GT3 allocation at $25k over... when I found 3 at MSRP.. they seem slower to adjust to market.. probably because they know plenty of suckers. Lol.

Hope you did one of two things with them when they told you about the GT3 allocation at $25k over...1) told them to pound sand OR 2) hung up on them.
