Ford Raptor.... I love my '13. It handles all occasions and environments with ease. Terrible gas mileage but very capable/versatile. Best DD I've ever had!

A Boxster was my first Porsche and only car for 5 years and it was great for everything, including all my shopping. I could pack anything into the Boxster other than furniture. I drove the Boxster year round in Philadelphia, just added snow tires during the winter.

And in your case as a GT3 owner, a Boxster also gives you the variety of being able to drive with the top down on nice/sunny days if you want. If that doesn't matter to you at all, then get a Cayman. A light mid-engine Porsche is a great daily.
if i chose Boxter/Cayman , it will be my third Porsche !
i dreamed to have a Porsche most of my childhood ,
to have 3 of them it's just too good to be true.

few years ago i test drive the previous M3 with V8 engine
and 10 min later Cayman R.
after 10 second i knew that the Cayman much much fun to drive
i think the key is the weight of the car and to put the power to the ground
and nothing come close to Porsche!
i remember i thought to myself why the hell the Cayman R don't have 50 more horse power more , she can handle it for sure.

how is the new Boxter/Cayman compare to the Cayman R?
i red that Porsche will move to 4 Cylinder engine , what a stupid decision!

i guess for now my option are BMW M2/M235i or Boxter/Cayman
i can't think of similar cars

The current Cayman S has 325 HP, only 5 hp less than the cayman R. You could get a Cayman GTS, but I don't think the extra 15hp in the S, 340 total (without more torque) is worth $11,000 compared to the S.

You can now order any level of Cayman from the factory with the X73 sport suspension which is the same suspension that was on the Cayman R.

If you want a new car that is naturally aspirated, now is the time to buy before the Boxster/Cayman go turbo next year. If you don't mind buying used, then Cayman R values have dropped quite a bit, because of the GT4.

have never understood the desire to drive something nice daily, in traffic, weather, bad roads, stop and go, etc.
formula for many years has been something fun and unique in the garage, sense of occasion, weekend/holidays/fun weather driving. And something I could care less about for daily driving.

latest is 2014 GMC Denali truck

boxter spyder, I have not received mine yet, but I drive a 2015 BoxterS and a 2015 M3 as daily. M3 is a great car , but I think boxer/cayman are much more fun.Spyder also has more power than cayman R that you drove.I would have suggested GT4 but they are hard to find without coughing up a lot of money. You can spec a spyder the way you want and in houston probably can drive all year long

I have a CLA45 AMG as my daily.

However, it's been having some issues, so I've been dailying the GT3 for the past week.

I love it! lol. Much better DD than my GT-R was and it's a lot less conspicuous. The seats are a bit uncomfortable, but the rest of the car is perfect. I should have done this a lot earlier...

I am the opposite. Hate to drive anything with crappy dynamics unless I have to. Makes every drive an occasion.

Drifting may have the right two car model based on your circumstances. A used 997 or 996 manual could provide what you are looking for. Still sounds like you'll need a car cover to protect the exterior. The other idea is an m1 or m3.

I drive an 05 scaglietti 612 as my other car. Seats four and is a true GT. Great contrast to the gt3 in terms of feel and practical capabilities

I would buy a Lotus Exige S or a 20 year old Porsche to enjoy. I want a throw back to smaller, raw, fun drives
