One mile? I'd probably walk. But no car will be much fun or use for a 1 mile trip. I have other cars but GT3 goes in the rotation for all use, regardless of weather. My "practical" car is CTS-V Wagon. But I even DD my Elise in rotation.

i thought about M235i or M2 , i just don't understand how such a small car can weight so much ! lightweight cars usually are the most fun to drive.

or maybe Boxter/Cayman

i'm trying to get more ideas other them those cars.

after i got the GT3 i become very picky

I use my 13 Nissan Pathfinder. Very comfortable. I wish I can bring my GT3 daily but I dont have a closed parking and my people might ask for a raise every month.

Sometimes I use my wifes s550 when I feel like indulging.

Honda Element as people/stuff mover, 987 Cayman S or Bimmer M3/ZHP as road commuter when needed (as a real estate developer I run around all corners of the SF Bay Area quite a bit, from San Jose/Carmel southward to Wine Country to the north), Golf GTI Mk V as a fun run around in bad weather

Go for a Boxster. They are a great daily driver. Light, small, maneuverable for curved roads, heavy traffic, or tighter parking.

They have an incredible amount of storage space, 9 cubit feet between the front and back compartments. You can even fit a set of golf clubs in the rear one. A Boxster was my first Porsche and only car for 5 years and it was great for everything, including all my shopping. I could pack anything into the Boxster other than furniture. I drove the Boxster year round in Philadelphia, just added snow tires during the winter.

And in your case as a GT3 owner, a Boxster also gives you the variety of being able to drive with the top down on nice/sunny days if you want. If that doesn't matter to you at all, then get a Cayman. A light mid-engine Porsche is a great daily.
