Default GT3 Transmission Fluid Change

How often are you guys changing your transmission fluid, and what are you paying for it?

Street? Track??

Track guys do this about yearly.

Street cars, would be about 100,000 miles or 8 years by the book. Every 4-5 years or 50-60,000 miles would be prudent.

About 15K miles on the car, of which about 5K are track miles. I don't mind doing fluid changes more often than Porsche recommends, but dealer is asking $725.

I think you should change the fluid with that mileage and track duty.

That might be the going price for a PDK Plus car. Not as easy as the manual trans gear lube days.

I believe they need or should use the PWIS tool for the fill. Still, that seems on the high side.

The GT3 service interval for PDK-S requires a clutch oil change at 48K miles or 6 years and a transmission fluid change at 96K miles or 12 years. There is no accelerated schedule for PDK-S in the "Driving on Race Circuits" addendum.

I understand wanting to be ahead of the game but I think you're being over cautious and could wait longer. Just my $.02.
