Thanks
It was a guy that picked it up at a friends house in Winston Salem (he was moving and sold it to us) and set it up at our house....that was 7 years ago or so. I'd have to find his info if he's still around, but I think he was local to Winston not Charlotte...

You in Charlotte?

my buddy's race shop, in Pembroke...still in it's winter storage home.
There are 4 lifts and all the tools and machinery (and space) that you could ever want to work on the car (I need to change all fluids, pads, SS lines before track season starts in a month)!

that is the "real" garage...I will have to post up pics of that in the future

Yes - right near 16 and Mt Holly-Huntersville Rd - Overlook neighborhood. I don't know of any other yellow Porsche's around us. Its a DD for us, so it was probably ours. Most people aren't used to seeing a yellow GT3 used as a DD...it kinda stands out

I know there's a black 997.1 GT3 and black 993 turbo somewhere in our neighborhood too, plus a bunch of Boxsters and newer cabs...

I pass by usually on the way to work in Denver. Usually driving a Grey RRS. Will have to meet up sometime.

Default And So It Begins

Well, after drooling over everyone else's garages, you all finally inspired me to kick off my own garage project.

Work started today - swapped out the regular garage door openers for the hi-lift openers in preparation for lifts.

I need to clear everything out this weekend. On Monday, a crew comes to prep the floor for the application of epoxy during the first half of the week. Once that cures, cabinets are going in.

Two single post lifts are on order - expect to get them installed towards the end of May.

To cap it all off - sorting out the details of some Porsche themed photo / art selections with fellow rennlister Aaron Miletich photograpy.

Looking forward to getting it all completed. Will post pics along the way - here is the hi-lift door conversion on 2 of my 3 bays.

Sounds familiar - I might give mine up next year to get an entry level formula car for the track... we'll see if I get to have both or not

On topic, my garage is among the least decorated in here and won't get attention for a few years. There are some genuinely beautiful garages on here and a lot of great ideas and cool toys to see - this is a fun thread to read through.

Next time around I really want running hot/cold water, 240V outlets, air, and a lift. I might do one of the fancy concrete options for the flooring. Whatever we do I want to be able to hose it down with a pressure washer.
