LOVE this thread, but it is a llooonnnggg one, so a few questions.
For those who store them two high, is there anything you would do different if you could do it over...........Higher ceiling? more space around the lift? install before the floor goes down? different lift? THANKS  |

Nice setup... Garages of Texas? |
I'm going to use this thread for some solid motivation to get my garage cleaned up this spring. Here's the back half of my 4 car (2 cars deep). The front half is filled with Subarus and ski/snowboard gear and another bicycle or three. This weekend I'm going to sort and inventory the tools and prep for a few wall cabinets I have laying around, ready to hang. And measure to see if I can hang the Bronco's top over the Porsche snug to the ceiling and still get in and out of it.

I would have mapped out exact locations of a 2 post lift and a flush mount scissors lift pit. I have 6" high strength concrete floor with hot water tubing to heat it. Big bolts for a 2 post would be hit or miss, but no way will cutting in a pit for a scissors get away without cutting a lot of tubes.

Hey DM1,
I see "Quadzilla" sitting there with the others. We had a 250 and 500 when I was a kid in Idaho, they were incredible. Wonder how that 2 stroke monster compares to the newer models. -James |

Which lift do you feel most comfortable with for storage ~ two or four post?

Four post is best for storage because the suspension won't hang.
I have one of each. 4 post all day for storage! |
