In winter hibernation mode.... Wife's S E-Hybrid on the other side hence the Porsche charge station.

Has anyone paid to have their garage ceilings raised to accomodate for the lifts? If so, was it a "big" ordeal?

I haven't done it but have heard that others have. Degree of difficulty (and cost) all depends on what's going on above the area you want to raise and how high you want to raise it. If it's just open space it shouldn't be too difficult. If there are beams, rafters, joists or anything structural that would have to be relocated it's a different story.
