Laws sakes. Some beautiful setups here. I'm going to take you to the low-buck, all-DIY side of the street.

Total cost for the benches, cabinets, flooring AND the lift? $3,500. I bought up damaged and second-hand stuff and repaired and repurposed to my heart's content.

That's an inch-thick section of steel plate.

Wait. What's that square shape in the tiles, there?

All cleaned up for the pictures. But it's a working garage:

One of the reasons it stays clean is that I built a shed for the stuff that would normally clutter up the floor.

And no, the car is not a GT3. But it's cute.

Jack, that has always been one of my favorite garages. I read your whole project online elsewhere. Love the car as well....what a beast!

Where online can I find the detail of that project? I didn't think there was an RSR in '72. Sure is a nice garage and beautiful car!

Jack that is all pro!!!
Reminds me of the Dharma Initiative on Lost!!

Thanks very much, guys. My shop pales in comparison to a lot of the ones on the previous pages, but it's mine and I put a lot of sweat into it.

Serge944, I'm not sure which video you might mean -- so here are two.

I think that garage has gotten many of us started on that path :)

LOVE IT. Man, that is well done. The whole garage. Even goin to the extent to paint the lift the same green as the cabinets.
WELL DONE. BIG RESPECT.

Mr. Olsen
your space is so much more than a garage , its a shop with room for a really cool car , that vintage black phone catches my eye , color matched to car , I sure there are many here who would be keen to have your mechanical talent

Thanks! Of course, you're correct about there not being a 1972 RSR. But this car is a Frankenstein, made up of components from different years. The full documentation on its build is here.

Thank you! The phone is from 1953. Never restored or even cleaned up -- but then, they knew how to build stuff back then.

Jack,

Thanks for the link! I think we are much alike. I do all my own welding and carpentry, building my own garage now, planning on building a Porsche and loved driving them. I asked about the RSR because that's a car I would like to build. Couldn't remember one from '72. I Raced a '74 RSR in the '70s but sold it. Haven't driven a Porsche since '85, then a friend let me drive his and I'm hooked again!
I watched some of your videos from Willow Springs with interest. Did you continue to improve your lap times? I raced in SOCAL for a short time and had a Porsche prepared there and we used to go to Willow for testing. Looks in better shape now that in '72.
Best regards!
