Depends on who you want to drive like. Tiff Nedel:911R or Chris Harris:991GT3RS. I would take the 991R before a turbo but I'm a Harris type (racer type) so the RS would be the one I'd go for.

All you said but 325 section rear tires and RS motor.

I think in first time he want to install the GT3 motors but with some problems of this, he goes for the RS motor. Just my opinion

Harris type = racer type? Nothing against CH, but Tiff was in F1... Doesn't get much more racer than that, regardless of his on air personality.

Oops.... I did not know that. My apologies please disregard my analogy. (No wonder Tiff is so good). Side note: Best tv sticks: 1. Tiff (best teacher) 2. Harris (best communicator on car behavior) 3. Clarkson (most entertaining)

Hi

New forum member from Sydney. Local dealers are holding deposits on this car but details are thin on the ground.

Any news from Germany on whether it will have rear seats as standard or as an option?

I should shut up but I can't control myself?
Lol.
No, you are absolutley right to think that. It would appear logical.
But again, as others have also stated, Porsche run special editions of outgoing chassis along side of new base model chassis.

This 991R will most likey be the same situation.
It can have a 991.1 body and be labeled a 2017. They have done it in the past and chances are good they will do it over and over again.

Typically when they issue the black series, the fat lady sings. End of chassis production blow out.

Like the sport classic 997. RoW only.
Would not be surprised. They always like to throw their own a bone.

These garages are nicer than most homes.. The cars will at least have deluxe accommodations.

i am pretty sure 911R will come to US. first of all, last number i heard is that they will make 911 of them - not 250 units like they did with Sport Classic.

also, Sport Classic couldn't be brought into US because it would have to go through crash testing due to bubble roof change (crash testing story sounds familiar? yup - 959 deja-vu) and with only 250 Sport Classics built Porsche decided to not go crash testing route. with 911 911R units, even if Porsche does need to do crash testing due to different (more lightweight) body materials used, i am highly confident they will do it due to sheer number of cars built.

Considering the very strong demand for RS, GT4 and now 991R (better, the premia savings from vip allocations), coupled with the prices we have seen for 918's in the secondary market, it seems that 918s are good candidates for best investment of the decade. Not even counting the fun factor, priceless...991R has the potential to be epic, imo.
