No way they'll introduce the 991.2 GT3 body over a year ahead of the 2018's

991.2 street turbo garbage 911 body isn't happening on an NA special edition

Ok, what body are you assuming it will be? Specifically which? Just healthy discussion

991.1 GT3 body
Narrower tires
Weight savings
No aero wing
LWB
3.8 GT3 engine
Manual
No rear steering
Special interior fluff
Special exterior fluff graphics
Limited edition #/#

Priced between GT3 and RS with huge $$$$$ market adjustment

My guess .... What the hell do I know?

My source the cleaning lady approves!
She also told me she heard the word around the factory that Singer will be part of Porsche soon, just like AMG joined Mercedes in the 80's! After that, all the special edition will be made on 964 bodies and their price will go down to around 120-130K.
Who's in?

Let's not get crazy now. I'm not that far off. I'd say 90% right. I will look back at my predictions at a later date.

I was just joking...
If you want me to be serious,I'd say you are not far off at all. And of course, that would be just a guess of mine.

Singer will have a tough time when the market/economy tanks. Will ride the wave. Until then.... Long live excess and market adjustments.

Some will call this 911R a "parts bin" manual. Don't doubt me.

Porsche doesn't need Singer. Singer needs Porsche.

Porsche needs Singer like they need TechArt.

Singer needs Porsche like Twisted Sister needs Iron Maiden.

Look at some of the company some of you guys have sitting next to you at the bar

If you then say "no it will be a 2016 model".......it would be a little odd celebrating a 49th model year anniversary vs waiting a couple more months and celebrating the 50th anniversary?
Porsche tend to introduce the new bodies in their base model cars (carrera, carrera S.) with the GT cars and turbo models shortly after.

Example, 2005 turbo, 2005 GT3 were both 996 along side of 2005 997 carrera in showrooms.

2013 997.2TTS along side of 2013 991 Carrera in showrooms for that model year.

Porsche love squeezing out every last drop of a production run.

Maan, please allow me to get on the sauce a bit here : Imagine if Porsche built a modern suspension 911 on a 964 body, with the GT3 engine in it and a 6 speed manual transmission?! That comes with a factory warranty and a reasonable price!
Would it sell?
