That's what I recall someone posting. Thanks.

Yes, the "unicorn" should get some of the attention away from the GT3 and RS which would be fine for many.

I wasn't there and I remember that was posted here or something to that degree but did he actually quote "991 second gen" or did he simply say the next versions of both models? I put a lot of faith into what Eduardo and others heard, I only ask because I have found in the past especially with AP's conversations and interviews that a lot of filling in the blanks and assumptions are made to interpret what his intended message was... especially with the future product planning (AP is lead trainer at Porsche's "misdirection" interviewing school also). To decipher his sometimes cryptic sentences is an art form and few get it completely right 100% of the time.

Eduardo asked the question and got the response...I'm sure he will chime in if he's reading this...it was clear to me AP was referring to the 991.2.

How many engines were replaced from the stop sale? That's (roughly 750) the # of 911Rs we will see. All rebuilt with top notch attention.

Didn't think of that!!! Rebuilt, or just "detuned" to 8,000 rpm, thus slightly less Hp.

NO....remanufactured engines do not make it to new car production lines. Many have mentioned it before, it does not happen.

I did not think of that either. I'd wonder if they could put those "used" motors in a "new" car. With all of the heat on the parent company that may not fly.

You think they would actually put rebuilt engines in a limited edition model?

I don't think they would put rebuilt engines in any car labeled as new.

Remanufactured engines are used for warranty or customer pay replacements in future.....although I am hearing many of the GT3 recalled engines were destroyed once they returned to factory.

Actually Singer uses a company that makes their engines,I forgot the name. But I know they use some of the best parts in the market. And they put that sweet intake from the 996 GT3(I believe...). That should be a nice engine...

I found it! They're using Ed pink racing engines and the intake is from the 997 GT3 RS.

Maybe they were using Cosworth in the past,I don't know...
Remember,we are talking about a custom car, that costs a lot of money. They can use the best in the industry.
