Are you going to Le Mans? I could probably do 15-16th of June at the ring and then continue towards the Mulsanne straight. That would be a good week and finally put some miles on the 4.0.

Lets stay in touch and see if it works out.

Peter, sorry for the hijack. Hope you're having fun in the left lane........ Hard to post on RL when you're doing 230km/h.

At the airport in Munich :-)
Was a fun day beating on the Macan, even though the weather didnt cooperate we got to around 220-230 only.

Car is very nice to drive, again amazed at how quiet it is. No roof rails, sunroof and insulated windows is paying off.

June 15+16 are the last couple of days before I drop off the Macan, so who knows...

Great video for first timers visiting the Ring, or if you just want to see what it all looks like..

Great video, for the locals boring but great to see the lay of the land around the track and some helpful pointers! I wish it would have been available when I went.

Thanks for posting the video TC. Visited the Ring once to watch and it looked like the wild west with all types of vehicles/ bikes, and tour buses out on the ring. The video helps makes sense on what is expected to drive and enjoy the experience safely.

It can the Wild West but with some luck you can have the track for yourself.
I was there on a trackday in October.
I think we where about 24 cars at start.

There where more marshalls than cars

Almost one km per car...

$13, delivered. Goofy looking, but the guts are well made. Amazingly great quality and so small and CHEEP - put it anywhere. I was amazed. Slapped in a 64GB card and take 15 minutes of video. Came from China, took just a week.
How did you mount that thing?

Stopped by the factory today to swap the winter tires and loaner wheels for our own wheels with Continental CONTISPORTCONTACT 5P 295/35/21 rear and 265/40/21 front.

From TireRack:
The ContiSportContact 5P is Continental Tire's Max Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of some of the world's most prestigious high performance sports cars, coupes and sedans. Tires in sizes used for staggered fitments are optimized to meet the specific performance requirements of front or rear axle positions.* The ContiSportContact 5P is designed to deliver steering precision, cornering stability and short stopping distances in dry and wet conditions, However, like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in near freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Should be OK to take it to the Ring in June for a few laps to refresh my memory a bit.

Also stocked up on Porsche gummy bears
