Hahaha, that's great. Nobody will notice...

Not very confidence inspiring dropping there but convenient. Nice they held your bag, will have to remember that.

Epic journey! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your adventures. Will they forfeit your VAT deposit if you exceed 6000 miles or 10000km during ED because now it's no longer considered a new car? I swear I read it somewhere...

I think the language says something about 6,000 km (only 3,600 miles) and longer than 6 months (not just the mileage), I think it'll be fine.

I was originally concerned about the 6,000 km limit with my first ED, so this is how I returned the car:

Next time, I'll have Peter as the trailblazer to follow in spirit

Lol... Pretty sure that smashes the record for any Porsche! Doubt a dealer anywhere in the world would have seen mileage like that at a service after 3 months... There should have been a special presentation and award upon return, haha

Does Porsche wash detail the car and prep and wrap it for it’s journey across the water?

Why would there be a mileage limit limit if you own and take delivery in Europe then ship it over here?

That’s how you test the claim about no valve adjust necessary for 300,000 km

No. The owner must wash their car prior to drop or the shipping company / guys at the port will do it and charge you. Mostly about getting organic matter off the car. Then it gets shipped, naked. Shows up looking like **** (no joke).

The mileage/time limit is there for a variety of reasons (mostly tax and registration.) its too low as Peter is proving.
