Rear seats possible???
Guys I'm selling my brand new GT4 (160 miles at MSRP in the Marketplace) and want to get into a GT3 IF I can rear seats installed for my kids.
Any chance I can do this?
Does the rear have panels or carpets that can be removed to install OEM belts and seat cushions?
Thanks in advance.

anything is possible as long as you are willing to pay for it.

Rear seats possible???
I saw someone had done it in a 997 GT3 online.
Is the rear deck where the seats would be higher than the street 911's? Seems like it.
Then the back rest would have to be high enough too. Would be cool if done the right way. Would have to be custom fabricated/upholstered seats.

Another thing to think about is the liability if there was an accident? Insurance companies can be difficult if there were any injuries if there were non OEM or non DOT or whatever approved seats?? Just something I thought about.

I'm not trying to be doom and gloom, but just try to think out all the scenarios.
I know it's a track car (with much street use), but I think there should be an option for rear seats for an extra cost, why not? I know some guys would think it's stupid. But some would appreciate it.
Get ready for the heckles!! Buy a GTS or Turbo S ...

it's all fun and games until someone specs a car with rear seats and LWBs. Then again, humans are more flexible than luggage.

LWB, rear seats, CS package, Burmester sound system.
All in a Cabriolet.

What's next? Maybe Eduardo can pull some esoteric option list up and find a GT2 spec'ed through Porsche with rear seats and vinyl roof with deviated stitching.
Until then, why not consider Mclaren's offering?
or, perhaps, a 7.2 GT3 from this character?

To have it done properly, I would think you'll easily spend $10,000. You could lease plenty of nice sedans as a second car for $500/month and get 20 months out of it for the same money. That's the optimal solution for kids.

I do not get it - drive Kia and deny yourself the joy of driving a GT3, and have GT3 rotting in the garage? It's not a sculpture, so it's only reasonable to think of ways to drive it more often. I'd put rear seats in the GT3 if they did not interfere with cage.

I used to do this with all my nice cars. When I started dining at better restaurants I started to think about how much I spent and how long it lasted - only to take a giant, expensive crap later. It's actually cheaper to drive the car

I would not take the risk myself of putting kids in some type of makeshift back seats in a GT3. Period. The design of modern seats and their structure, positioning and installation incorporates a number of safety considerations in the event of an accident.
