so do you do this every fall? sell your current sports car and buy a new one in the spring? I wish I had your $$

Nah, my RS is just due in February so I didn't see a point holding the GT3 for the coming months as it's not seeing enough use to take the potential extra depreciation hit/risk. It really cost me very little to own the GT3 for 10 months.

It appears that there are plenty who could not get cars that were waiting for a lot of us to start selling the GT3s as the RS are being delivered. I am not saying you will get over or at MSRP but you will still get good value for driving the car for a year or so

will be interesting to see what happens with Turbo-only GT cars and a financial market that continues to invent value.

Barring a market downturn on par with 2008 (up for debate), the same type of dynamic that has happened in the 993 (last air-cooled) and 997 GT3 (last manual) markets, but quicker.

Not selling mine either. Had an order for an RS but decided I like my GT3 to much to spend the additional money. Still only putting a few miles on it though which is a bad thing. Bought in March & she just turned 700 miles on Wednesday.

I suspect this is the last generation of NA cars we're going to see from Porsche.

Agree, outside of truly limited special edition cars (ie, $250K+ with a numbered plaque on the dash; not a viable DD or track car given value).

got it
I waited close to two years for mine...got it exactly (well except for PTS Mexico Blue) as I wanted it and couldn't imagine selling it after 5 months.

That's funny, I had ordered Mexico Blue to only get turned down then went with RY. Absolutely love the RY and saved myself a few dollars.

This always happens. These cars will turn over 1 to 2 times till it finds the right owner. It does not mean anything.

I waited 1 year for mine. I plan to keep it, even if I get an RS.

Sadly, that's about typical use for me. I don't consider my cars garage queen, but I tend to be time poor to drive on the street - spare days I tend to head to the track. I don't DD anything so it's not even an option to use the car more...

Market is still strong on 991 GT3's, many that want a RS won't see one probably including myself so I don't see the RS having much impact. I actually find fewer 991 GT3's for sale than I saw a few months ago but maybe I am wrong.

These cars are still moving rather quickly in the market place it seems

I'm glad to be wrong. It's a great feeling to enjoy your car and not lose much money.
