Is it a black or white smoke? Have never experienced it yet.

Grayish-white. You may not see it from your driver seat but I would bet if you stand at the back of the car at cold start up you will see some. When I took delivery of my car it had been sitting for a while. When I started it up there was so much smoke I thought the whole engine must be on fire. With the past GT3 engine issues it did give me a moments anxiety.
