NEW PRODUCT BBi Autosport 991 GT3 StreetCup Rear Shock Mounts
We are pleased to present the new Rear Shock Mounts as an addition to our BBi Autosport 991 GT3 StreetCup Suspension Package . The Factory Porsche GT3 rear shock mounts consist of an aluminum mount with a rubber bushing. This may be comfortable but is not direct. The other weakness is the rear spring perch as it rests on the shock mount. This causes slight binding of the spring with suspension travel.
The BBi StreetCup shock mounts eliminate all rubber components with a precision, high strength mono-ball (much like what is found on Cup or GT3 RS models). Furthermore, the spring perch pivots on the mono-ball along with the shock thus completely eliminating any bind on the spring. The spring perch is designed for 65mm springs (Spring Package required)
These mounts are direct factory upgrades but do require the BBi StreetCup Spring Package. Compatible with 991 GT3 and we are working on expanding applications to Carrera, Turbo and RS models.

Hello, I am thinking about a suspension upgrade, my goal is to improve lap times. How is this solution compare to a coil over system? This somewhere more expensive than a KW or Ohlins. Can someone that has this complete suspension upgrade share how this workouts in terms of lap times? And can I start with just the springs? Will that alone will do an improvement in lap times? Thanks for help.

I recently bought a 991.1 GT3RS which came with BBi StreetCup Suspension Package. I have never driven a stock 991.1 RS or any 991.2 GT3RS. I have been reading about the differences between these two cars, and it seems the suspension on the .2 is much stiffer. I am wondering what effect the BBi package has on street driving in the .1? Does is make it feel substantially stiffer than stock? Is it more similar to how a .2 would feel on street driving? I have not had an RS since 997, and I actually prefer a stiff suspension even for street driving. Very much appreciate any insights.

Well finally, BBi Street Cup Suspension Package is being installed. It took me 3 days to complete installation, just working in late afternoon after arriving from work. Installation is not difficult, but better do it slowly and verify everything is properly installed. I just read/saw so may pictures form previous kit installed at BBi.
GT3 getting ready for installation, car lifted with BendPak MD-6XP.
to be able to install rear lower arm have to remove torsion bar, this link really was the one who took me more time for installation.
OEM vs BBi arms
rear BBi arms and Swift springs
BBi Street Cup rear shock mounts with Swift springs
those BBi arms do really looks GREAT once installed.

once BBi StreetCup shock mounts installed and verified, corner balance was done. GT3 was lowered 9mm all around and with initial settings did got a 51.5% cross weight. After 2 adjustment was able to get 50.1% cross weight, but that numbers did change once OEM shocks collars were tighten.

GT3 corner balance video after shock collars were tighten, got them to 50% cross weight.
I really want to THANK, Jerry Truong for his help/support!!!
GT3 ready for next DE (alignment done with Jerry/BBi techs specs.)

this past weekend I did attend to a DE in our local racetrack(Salinas Speedway) after BBi Street Cup Suspension upgrade. My GT3 did really feels more firmer and stable while cornering on higher speeds than before. We were not lucky due to weather conditions, it did rained most of the day and decided to take it easy to avoid any accident. In the next couple of months after hurricane season ends will have another DE. I really recommend the suspension set up to hit the track for Solo 1/Club events.
GT3 was lowered almost 10mm all around. Now is time for other upgrades and make the GT3 lighter in weight( engine is stock NO eco tune/programming).
