how well does the Turbo sell compared to the GT3?
wondering, I know 2 different animals, I had a turbo ordered before I changed mind and bought the GT3, I cant imagine how unhappy I'd have been, this car is exactly what I wanted, anyone know how turbo sales are doing? The GT3 seems to get all the attention/press

Dealers can't give away TT/TTS unless they begin negotiations with a 5% discount from MSRP, and then bargain down to a higher percentage off MSRP.
Part of it is that PAG overproduced these 200K cars, part of it is that the market for a non-exotic 200K car is sort of limited.
But to answer your question, it does not compare. At all. In any way whatsoever.

Not sure where you are coming from, but all Turbos and Turbo S sell fast here. Yes, there is a discount, but saying "they can't give them away" is drama and hyperbole.
With that being said, the GT3 is a more rare car and more fun to drive overall. The turbo is a great DD.

I have a TT and had a GT3 (my RS is being built). My dealer has no problem selling them. As Krocks says, a great DD. Mine stickered at 166K not 200K.

Porsche is so perfect at planning demand, pricing, capacity, inventory, etc. How could they possibly have produced too many turbo s or priced them too high?

Also, I think the Turbo is very underrated as a sports car. They are super fun in the canyons, the shove in the back and incredibly rapid acceleration from a standstill makes you giggle like a school girl and they look fantastic! Yes, they're not as engaging as a GT3 and you'll never get one to sound nearly as good, but the Turbo(S) is a fantastic car! It's not a GT3, but then again, it was never meant to be

Zero hit the nail on the head! But then again, most Turbo owners really aren't too concerned with resale. From what I've found most Turbo owners look at them as consumables and the GT cars are their collector cars.

One advantage of the TTs is that is very easy to tune.
Catless race exhaust sounds great!
I track the car 2 time a month no issues.
I agree GT3 are more engaging.
and your right i treat my car as consumable!

Now if I was head of production...I'd decrease the product of 991s, Turbos, Caymans, and build more GT3s, RSs, and GT4s. I would also raise the price of the price of all the GT cars by 15-20%. Maximizing profits FTW!

TTS would be great dd if you have open space to get on it. Sitting in traffic was miserable knowing I had a fast car that I could not get on the gas. Car was too quiet/comfortable. Turbo lag was better than cayenne tts but still noticeable. I never drove car in any mode aside from sport plus and must say it was a boring waste of $40k. Cayman S was sounds better and was more fun aside from driving fast in a straight line...

You don't buy a TT because you need it. Because you want it.
The smooth effortless power is nice in a DD and occasionally you let it eat a little.
Otherwise the only thing that makes any real sense is a 6 year old Camary.
