At least we all have the same TM so we don't have to hear from the 6MT lovers just waiting to flame on this topic. In any case, knock on wood and cross your fingers before you start the car. It's like roulette, you either lose the odd or even number gears but you don't get to choose which one. If you loose your even number gears, I believe you lose reverse as well.
I sort of wish there was a 7MT.

Not because I'm a Luddite and think my left foot is there only to depress a pedal.

But I'd just love to hear all the stories about blown gearboxes from Money-shifts in the 991 GT3 that, um, never happened.

Sounds like it. In either case, I'm sorry you have to be without your baby until
this gets fixed. Hoping for a quick fix for you. I don't know how many have
had this problem, but on the forum it looks like 2 or 3 including you. As in all
these type problems, more will be revealed over time. As "Slick Willie" said,
"I feel your pain."

Thanks Rubbaman. Hopefully she'll come back sooner than later. Again, I don't have my hopes too high and it gives me that much more time to drive my R8.
It's really just a hassle to have to deal with the goobers at the dealer.
Hey, good to see another GT3 in the DMV area.

Quick update. Took the car for quick low speed spin to see if I need to get towed or can drive it in to get it checked. Interestingly enough, I have the odd numbered gears back and it drove pretty normal other than the engine control fault message. No TM failure message but I didn't push it or drive it in manual mode either. Problems started when I was driving in manual before. Looks like I'll drive it in tomrrow and see what's going on. I guess nothing is mechanically broken inside the gearbox like I feared since I got all my gears back. Will keep you posted.

I think those money shifts blow your engine.

I posted about this last month. Your car is probably fine. All the responses to my post were about it being a software glitch. I turned the car on and off and finished my track day with no issues. Haven't had a reoccurrence sine then. Hope that is the case in your situation.

Let us know when you drive it in manual.. I would take it to the SA to get it checked as well.

This same failure mode happened to a friend of mine this past Tuesday on a track; I believe his car is a 2015. He just heard back from the dealer today -- initially the fault was cleared and everything normal after disconnecting the battery and rebooting all the computers, but on subsequent testing the gearbox failed again and the fault codes read "shift solenoid" and "pressure sensor." The dealer has passed this on to PCNA and Germany for suggestions; we'll keep you posted. Doesn't sound like there was any mechanical damage.

Took the car to the dealer yesterday. All was normal (except for the engine control fault message) for the first 20 min until I exited from the highway and lost all odd numbered gears again. Limped to the dealer and tried to back out of a tight space and lost reverse as well. No updates from the dealer yet. I'm thinking I won't hear from them until Tuesday at the earliest.

Heard back from the dealer and they say it's a software issue. They have reprogrammed the TM and it seems to be running ok. Now I've been waiting for a few days now for approval from Germany if this repair is sufficient. How long does it take for these guys to reply?
The SA Is also not very helpful. I've had to call for every update when he said he'll keep me posted. Need to look for a different dealer or new SA. It's too bad Porshe is no different than any other dealership but worse because of their snobby attitude.
