Couldn't resist when I saw this. Plus, I'm probably not going to get an RS allocation. If I do I figure I can't get hurt too badly on this car. GTS's are holding value pretty well, at least by me they are becoming hard to get. It's not my GT3 but still loads of fun to drive, and I love the color combo, and clean look of the sides without the vents like the RS and turbo s.

Got a 2 with PDK. Drove manual and PDK and it is a very good manual, but the pdk is very good too. For me, as long as I have complete control over gear selection (PDK in manual mode) its perfect. I don't feel the need to be actually pushing a clutch with my left foot. I've been doing that for 20 yrs as I've always had a manual, but honestly the new PDK's are just better. At least for me.

The new GTS is a very nice car. The day I was supposed to order one the dealer offered a GT3 allocation to me. I'd be happy driving one.

Best way to describe it is a baby GT3. I think it is more fun on the street because you can rev it and open it up more than the GT3. Gt3 feels stifled most of the time at street speeds. Everything in GTS Is done at one notch down in aggressiveness. I don't mean less quality, I mean more street than track focused, but this doesn't mean it is less fun. It revs hard and pulls, but a little less than gt3. Same with breaking and exhaust note. Exhaust note is great, but again a little less aggressive than gt3. If you drive in manual mode, shift levers don't require as much force as GT3. If you dive in auto mode, much better than gt3. In regular mode the gt3 seems to bog at low revs and short shifts. Sport holds revs too long on street. GTS much better and sport is the sweet spot. Shifts are perfect and downshifts pretty aggressive with real nice exhaust note. Best characteristic about GTS is suspension. Feels real nice on the street. Car is very nimble and corners well with great turn in. Have to push it quite hard to notice the gt3's superiority. Also, it is a little more comfortable on the street. It is in no way the race car the gt3 is, but really I can't say enough good things about it. My only real gripe is with the price, I really think it's about $20k over priced compared to its internal competition, but hay that's porsche. One of the reasons I can justify the price to myself is that The GTS seems to be holding its value pretty well, and other than gt3 will be last NA 911. I'm sure a bunch of you guys will say they street their gt3 all the time and it's great. I'm in no way arguing that point, I do the same. What I am saying is that the GTS really feels like it was specifically designed to give great experience with REGULAR street use, whereas GT3 certainly feels more focused and REGULAR street use is not its focus.
