Default 2016 Allocations?

Hello-

From what it looks like, all the 2016 allocations have been to dealers on the west coast...?

Am I correct in thinking PAG divies out allocations by region?

I've seen allocations in the midwest and east coast.

Hmm...

My dealer (Conshohocken Porsche) hasn't received any since May when they got one of the 'special, extra' Arena Red ones.

I'm 3rd on the list and the GM assures me I'll get one next Spring.

I guess I figured they would start getting allocations by now for the two guys in front of me.

Thanks.

So maybe the question is; have any allocations been 'spotted' in the NORTHEAST...?

Allocations, esp. for cars like the GT3, are largely based on sales volume metrics.

So the larger dealers (mostly in FL, TX, CA) will generally get the most 2016 allocations.

Porsche in Nowhere Podunk should probably not hold out too long for a 2016 GT3 allocation. Or, if at all.

I understand. Though, just for reference... Conshohocken is in top 50 wealthiest counties in the US and a suburb of Philadelphia.

Though, I do realize that doesn't necessarily warrant more allocations. Just for reference...

True but Porsche of the Main Line is the big game in the Philly area and get the lions share of GT allocations, particularly special ones like the limited 2016 GT3 allocations.

Does Main Line go on the good list or the bad list?

Is that right... I'm new to the brand as you might expect.

I'd also like to know if they are on the 'good' list as well.

Thanks Drifting.

QUESTION- should I NOT believe the GM (20+ yrs with the dealer) when he tells me he WILL get me an allocation..?

Good list. I've purchased two new Porsches from them and they were always straight with their facts and clear on where I was on the list for GT cars. And previous customers don't get bumped from the list because someone offers over MSRP, because they never sell for over MSRP.

I'm high on the list for a 991.2 GT3 and have no worries it will come in the first round of allocations as Main Line received near a dozen 991 GT3s between 14-15, and I think 5 RSs in the first round of allocations.

Re the GM at Consohoken: it depends on how well you or someone else knows him. If Main line said it I would believe it because I've gotten to know them over time. Unfortunately I don't know the GM at Consohoken.

Good to hear there's a good list dealer on the east coast.

Thanks bud. Conshohocken also guaranteed me MSRP, stating they too don't sell over MSRP.
They told me I would have one around spring. I guess I should clarify if 'one' means an allocation...?...or an actual car.
Either way, worse case...I'll start to look elsewhere come March.

Hey Guys in the Philadelphia Area:
Also take to Thompson aka Bucks County Porsche gt4 will be my first P-Car, but they also sell MSRP and have strong ties to the motorsport division. They run several cars in the Gt3 Cup and have also received multiple gt cars allocations. I was told by one of the sales guys that they received an additional 7 gt3 allocations when they won the gt3 cup last season. They are also sponsors of the 996 gt2/3 forum.
