My Take on Sharkwerks vs. GMG Bypass

But I am sure the OP is using these posts for free ads for his website and youtube channels. You can earn pretty decent amount of money from youtube if you have a popular channel, just FYI.

Matt, you've done so many variations of the setup that it's hard to keep track.
So for clarification, you only have the GMG center bypass for now correct?
I may have missed it, but did you have the GMG center bypass with the side muffler delete at any one point? If so what was your conclusion with that set up?
Has GMG ever advertised any HP or TQ gain with any of the set ups? (I'll most likely ask James, but in case you know....)

I know...I know... Everything is factory except disconnected valves and the GMG bypass. I did not do a bypass with the side muffler delete. My guess is that will drone like crazy.
I don't think they have done any testing, but my guess is the difference is negligible.

If I had to guess correctly....Google has sent you a check for about $4 so far? Wait till your up in the millions of views that amount will get up to $50. Enough to put a RS in garage!!!

Can someone run this calculation for me? I've spent about $5k on exhausts and made about $4 off YouTube. What return is that?

Money2536, I'll make your life a bit more of a turmoil. I have a prototype exhaust i have been testing on 997 series for a year now. I'll send you one and give me feedback. If you like it, i'll make you one for free. Thus far conclusion from testing; 0 drone. Sounds very F1'ish, high pitch. PM me if you are interested
In all seriousness, I appreciate the offer, but I think I should leave that testing up to someone else. My guess is that I've overstayed my welcome sharing this stuff.

Keep posting Mike, I'm always interested.

Isn't the fact that you have helped lots decide on exhaust choice ROI enough ha ha?....I'm still trying to make all my garages look as nice as your "griots operating room"

No more turmoil man... Please. My fear is that all of the bolts will strip and my bumper cover will fall off if I touch the rear of the car one more time.

FWIW guys, no Center Section / ByPass system gains HP, it's a wash for the most part, which makes this decision more about sound, fit and finish and design....and of course customer service, which is why I try to be on RL as much as possible and always put my direct contact info on my Sig.
Lastly, stay tuned.....GMG is getting back into Porsche Racing again (in addition to the Club Racing we support), which is where we first designed this Center Section back in 2007 for our Pirelli World Challenge Cup Cars.......so stay tuned for more 991 GT3/RS Product development in the near future.
Cheers,
P.S. When Matt called GMG to buy a center section, he never asked for a discount as he made his own investment into this comparison, that speaks volumes in my book.....

My Take on Sharkwerks vs. GMG Bypass
I just installed a GMG after running Sharkwerks for 5 months. I love it but did reconnect my valves cause I was worried about drone. I do need to try it without valves to see if I can live with the extra droning. Not feeling the cut in/out valve thing either But I kinda like having all the buttons in my car functional. Then there still that can of worms debate about torque vs sound restriction. I'm still learning toward the latter. Yet, after taking Jesscia for a ride, her butt dyno says it was faster..
I can agree with Matt is SW is probably the best all around. For price, install, and just the right sound for the majority. As for the GMG, it's leans more toward those who want more. Which I do... Also I love the clean looks and design. I did have more trouble getting it on without having any exhaust leaks. Seems there was less tube to over lap like the SW.
As always Matt, I like to personally thank you for all the time and work you put into videos, how to's and testing. Me being a little OCD( me being a 5 to your 10 ) I can appreciate your opinions.
