Be interested to hear views on if there is a "standard" time for car to go v170 to v200 and then what is the next time period?

Reason i'm asking is comparing against my friends 991 turbo build - when it went v200 it was 12 weeks later it actually went into production - so is 12 weeks "standard"?.

My RS had "materials ordered (not sure if this is v170) for a long time now; build slot is Sept but it has NOT gone v200; so as my car is PTS, I am assuming this is now 12 weeks late.....?

Just trying to get some perspective as other PTS cars here in UAE have been officially notified of their build going back to Dec (four weeks ago) but mine has stayed the same and yet Sept is VERY near.

I ordered a black RS. It went 3 months fast. Not sure how much time it stayed in any categories but it couldn't have been more than a few days.

The issue isn't about a standard time. The challenge you are facing is that PAG is batching PTS cars. I got lucky, I guess, and perhaps your car is waiting for the 'pooled' production.

Your rep should be able to get an ETA for you.

Mine was V170 with PTS loaded on 5/28 - Dealer originally made the request on 3/11 but system was opened until 5/28. Finally went V215 on 8/6 with delivery date shifting from Oct (was a Sept slot) to Feb.

My PTS Targa went V110 on 4/29 and V215 on 5/1...

On the GT cars it seems that most of the PTS (maybe not black) they do a the end of the production run. Makes sense really.

Doubt it as there have been many people that said they'll be building RSs through March/April 2016.

spoke to my dealer and they said they could see my logic but its not like that. They said sometimes the codes just appear and there is no timings as rule of thumb.

i'm just confused as the build slot has not changed at all and yet other cars here have been put back; so i'm either gonna be pleasantly surprised or just have to enjoy the wait a bit more. Hope fully find out either way soon but interesting hearing all your stories too - ahem - paint to stories.... ha ha.

I'm in the same boat, V170 for PTS Voodoo Blue. I've had no update since the LWBs were worked out (going from V110 to V170). I'm eager to here when they are going to batch the Voodoo RSs, but seems unlikely I'll see the car until at least February.

Even if there are most will go to the same premium seeking dealers the like last rounds of GT3s, sadly it's almost irrelevant at this stage with the premiums people are getting.

I'm not holding my breathe that I'll get an RS this go around, if I do it's be the cherry on top for the year (I bought a GT3 and GT4 this year already). I'll wait to buy one used or if not then I'll buy a .2RS. In the meanwhile, I'll enjoy what I have. There's a dealer that is willing to give me an RS at MSRP if they get another RS allocation in exchange for my PTS 997.2RS (that's the only way I'm letting go of that unicorn). They'll slap a CPO on my RS and they'll make BIG $$$.
