PDK-S upshifted in manual
I had a spirited drive earlier today, and noticed that PDK was upshifting in manual mode from 3 to 4 and from 4 to 5. I do not understand why this was happening - it was not near red line and engine was at optimal temps. I think a pattern may be that it happened in mid-revs (5K-6K) held for some time with not much load on the engine. It was very annoying. Anyone experienced automatic upshifts in manual mode?

Known issue.
Take it to dealer. There's a fix. Basically new steering wheel.
Good luck.

this happens to me too occasionally.
sometimes ill attempt to upshift, but dont pull the paddle quite hard enough to complete the shift, ie, it moves a tiny bit but not all the way, and the car shifts anyway, and then upshifts again on its own....
so with not even one complete pull of the paddle the car actually upshifts twice!
btw, why did they make the paddles require so much effort to pull?

Thanks for the link. I've just read that thread, and it's the same thing I have. I cannot replicate it at will, so I hope dealer techs are cooperative and not try to convince me it's in my head and I'm just forgetting what gear I was in.

Three Wheelin'
To clarify, it's not that simple. I complained about this issue, and my dealer did not replace my steering wheel. They simply reported it to Porsche and are waiting.

Nice thing about simple cars- fewer things to go wrong.
Hope this issue is isolated to a specific production batch...

On another note, not sure what to do about this. Would hate to waste half a day driving to a dealer just to have them not be able replicate this. Any suggestions?

Took it to dealer, did my best to explain. The response was - let's wait till it happens reliably, so that we can easily reproduce it. It may be years before it's reliably reproducible. I'm fuming furious because when this happens, it's very annoying, especially on a track when it ruins perfectly good laps. Any suggestions?
