Default GT3 last orders

Hello,

I am a french and I tried to buy a 991 GT3 end of 2014. Porsche France told me that orders were no more possible.

Now I get the opportunity to buy an order for a 991 GT3 in Gremany to be build in August. I thought production swapped from GT3 to GT3 RS and that orders for GT3 were closed.

Can somebody clarify the situation about GT3 orders and end of production ?

Default GT3 last orders

Nobody knows when they will end production, will likely keep dribbling out allocations until they are forced to switch over to the 991.2 tooling. Congrats on the allocation!

Thank you for the answer.

This is my understanding of the GT3 situation in Europe.

All European GT3s were sold out at the end of 2014. In June, PAG sent an email to dealers in Europe indicating that they were considering an additional limited run of around 200 cars and wanted to gauge the strength of the market before making a decision. My dealer got one allocation which I managed to secure in the event PAG decides to go ahead. The decision is due on August 15th which my dealer says is 80% assured because all the dealers could have sold their one allocation 5 times over.

Ok !

So it means that only 200 cars could be delivered. Do you think it could involve a good value for the cars that will be delivered ? I am not planning to buy it and sell it immediately but I would like that the car keep a good value over the 5 next years.

Nobody can guess that good but depending on miles, condition, market then will all be a factor. But- will it hold value better than other Porsche models- YES

Value will depend on a lot of things but they won't be worth list price for long. As Jimmy said, expect depreciation but not as steep as some other Porsches. Don't kid yourself that it will hold its value better because it is a 2016 v. 14 or 15, it won't. If PAG does well with the 991.2 GT3, it could impact value more. If they for some reason make the .2 turbocharged over NA then value could go up. Just plan on it depreciating one way or another.

If it's a car you really always wanted, then I say go ahead a get it and don't look back. If you worry about what's coming in the future you will never enjoy the present.

For PCNA, there will be additional 2016 GT3 allocations provided to dealers in early 2016. Not many, most likely around 100 total.

Thus far, for PCNA, there has been approximately 35-40 2016 GT3 allocations provided to dealers in N. America.

So for those that still want a 2016 allocation talk to your favorite dealer and put your name down.

You are right that we must go ahead and take profit of present. However, it is a big amount of money (at least for me), and I want to make the good choice. For sure the GT3 (that I already drove since my brother in law owns one) is what I want. Not a Turbo to drive on a daily basis, but a real porsche, it means a race car, a bad boy car...

Interesting to read that there could be some allocation for 2016. I immediately contacted my porsche dealer here in france to find out.

Will report what comes out from discussion with them !!

PS : sorry for my poor english !
