That said, the painted inserts look awesome and the paint is excellent.
Video to prove otherwise of a non-removed, fresh set, and I'll delete my comment.

I used a bit more brute force and broke the OEM markers using 2 plastic pry tools that Spyerx had (good thing I also used double sided tape to not F up the clear bra around the markers). The red part cracked off first then I just pulled on the black back piece until one of the two back pieces that hold the marker to the bumper snapped off. I wasn't as precise as you were. 
That being said, the car looks 10x better with the painted markers since I have the clear taillights. Your look awesome too.

While the quality of the replacement may be great I still think it looks like a covered-up hole. I actually think these would look much better if the reflectors were replaced with the same mesh screen as the side and center slits.
Two example methods:
1) Cut out the hole with a dremel (!!!) and attach a screen on the back of the bumper cover.
2) Remove the red reflector from the black backing plate. Attached a screen to the backing plate for a slightly faux but reversible look.
