There were times we had to take a deep breath and ratchet it all back. 40 gt3s in the smokies has quite an effect on you.

Fwiw I'd say Lodi and I were very responsible today. So I blame the other 38 participants.

I try to keep pressures at 30F/32R hot... usually start 26/28 cold. Anything higher than 33 tends to get greasy.

Pressures to high. Start at 30 and bleed back down to 30 at each stop. Don't forget to bring them back up to 30 cold, after your done and they are cold. Also, tire grip is probably down 30% from new. Need to replace. Best, Allan

Default Tire Grip Question - Lost Traction Today

Lodi, I remember during the smokies we were around 36 with a few times hitting 38. I believe I remember you letting a tad out at a stop cause you were hitting 38. I'm guessing that was your problem this time. Otherwise the tires are just toast. Do you track your car a lot? I was told you can't heat cycle on public roads. That it takes track temps to get a cycle but I think the smokies drive got a few heat cycles.

Peer pressure is a horrible thing.

I guess it's a circular issue as I felt the need to keep up, which then gave you no choice but to go because you felt you were being pushed...i guess you might call that a win win situation.

28 fronts, 32 rears cold. Set by dealership to OEM spec a few months ago. Hot, I noticed the rears went up to 38.

Dan (does a FYI)
