Default TPC Racing 991 GT3 Build - Roll Bar, Brake Discs, Bypass Pipes

A customer brought this beautiful guards red 991 GT3 into the shop recently to have a roll bar and front brake discs installed.

Having installed them in the past, we decided to go with the Cantrell Motorsports 991 bolt-in roll bar. Not only do they offer a powder coated color matching service which looks fantastic on this car, but their roll bars are truly top of the line. They are made in-house, TIG welded, they mount to the rear shock towers for a safer setup, and most importantly it’s a true roll bar as opposed to a simple seat belt harness.

AP Racing (J-hook) Two-Piece Floating Disc
At TPC Racing, we maintain a regular inventory of AP Racing brake discs, for their superior longevity and advantages in endurance racing. They have been proven time and time again in various racing sanctions, including ALMS, Rolex, and Grand AM amongst many others. For this car in particular, we went with the AP Racing J-hook Two-Piece Endurance Racing Discs for 991 GT3 with Iron Discs. These also feature a fully floating, anodized billet aluminum hat, which significantly reduces the likelihood of distortion, cracks, and uneven wear and tapering in high temperature applications. We also think they look pretty nice once on the car!

GT3 Side Muffler Bypass Pipes
As we discussed the above options with the customer at the shop, he had the privilege to hear a set of our GT3 Side Muffler Bypass pipes on another customer’s car that was at the shop. He had read about the bypass pipes here on the forums (You can find a great review here), and as soon as he heard it knew that he wanted a set for himself!

Our TPC Racing GT3 Side Muffler Bypass Pipes are developed and manufactured in-house. They retain key OEM features for optimum performance, reliability, and sound control. Perhaps the most notable feature is the actuated valves that eliminate drone and keep the exhaust’s noise at a reasonable level when below 3,000 rpm. The flex joint helps with installation and prevents premature cracking and wear of the exhaust pipes. These pipes also save 35 lbs. from the OEM pipes, leading to improved handling.

At the end of the day, we are very happy with this build! The customer chose some modest, clean, and sophisticated upgrades that should greatly improve his performance and overall driving experience both on and off the track!
