There is, however, no 2017 model.

One of my dealers told me that he received word that a few more 2016 allocations are coming. I have not heard anything about 2017 but wouldn't it follow past protocol if the RS went another model year?

Typically yes, but they are about year behind, and out of synch with the 991 facelift which will be in the production line in September. I was told no second year by someone who would know, but they can always change their minds.

Whatever PAG decides, it wont blip VW stocks one bit so whatever they will do was decided long ago in conjuncture with the parts suppliers.

As far as I'm aware, PCNA has been nagging PAG to unleash some calendar year 2016 starts (MY2016 still). I'm hopeful that PAG will be successful in working this into their schedule, and if so, we should see allocations come through eventually.

I would've expected allocs for calendar year 2016 starts (not just the GT3 RS) to drop either this week, or next. Have not heard anything, yet.

Relax guys. There are more coming. It's already confirmed via the three new colors being offered; Black (A1), Racing Yellow (P3), and Miami Blue (J5), which are only available for allocations from September onward.

ha ha ha wow, did anyone really think we were really done with RS allocations? Porsche has showed the hand before and yet still I guess bluffed many again. Just so you know this is a strategy and as I have said before this is the greatest marketing ever! This is the band waiting for the applause to be loud enough before they come out for the last song or two....I guess we'll call it "encore allocation marketing"

It's a marketing cat and chase game. Like Tom and Jerry. You know Jerry always gets the best of Tom.

I spoke to a sales manager who felt very confident that there are at least a few more hundred allocations coming out in 4Q, probably before the holidays. He heard that production will be open until March on both GT3s and RSs. Depending on how many allocations they get, I might get one. We'll see.
