Has anyone observed the GMG diffusers rubbing on the black window trim? I was installing a pair tonight and noticed that there’s contact between the area that flairs our and the window trim. I imagine that this could potentially leave a mark later on when the diffuser if removed.

Here's the latest update...
I've spoken w/ the fabricators and they're working on getting the new protoype finished. Revisiting, these winglet's single highest manufacturing cost is the powder coating. In order to get these through the powder coating line (after they're stamped), there has to be a way to hang them as they go through the coating process. What they've done in past was to weld a small connection in the back to hang them. Once through the process they're cut and sanded, but it then leaves a bare spot on the back (which was of no consequence since it would be covered by the adhesive/double sided tape, but still causes extra work).
If we can cut a small hole somewhere, this would eliminate that process (which could most likely save 50% of the cost, which was the whole point of these in the first place). So, I've asked if they can just laser cut "Porsche" into the winglet that actually diffuses the air. I'm not sure how it will look, but more importantly I'm not sure how it will function? The engineer suspects it will still work as it did, however the concern will be whether it will create a whistling of sorts as the air goes around the letters?
I hope to have the prototype back to me shortly and will post pics when I get them. I'm unfortunately without a Porsche at this time in my inventory, so will have to find someone w/ a 991 to test for me. Worst case, our PCA region has an event at Mid Ohio in two weeks and can try it out then. Not sure how effective tho trying to hear w/ a helmet on?

Folks-
I couldn't get myself to pay stupid money for what I thought should have been significantly less expensive than options out in the marketplace?
Since "necessity breeds invention" I've worked w/ a local fabrication shop (through different iterations) and finally developed these
Pricing probably won't move all that much, but it's looking somewhere around $50-$60 per set? (Shipping will most likely be good ole, USPS priority).
Rennlist folks, I assure you this is actual cost and no profit. I did this purely as an enthusiast and ticked that companies out there were charing north of $200+ for pieces of plastic or metal (some sugar coating w/ pretty carbon fiber?). I've held out all this time, waiting until I had the time to get them built.
These pieces are made from sheet metal, super light and powder coated in a matte black finish. (We can paint different colors, but I wanted to keep it simple).
You're going to need to buy some 3mm tape, use rubbing alcohol to make sure surfaces are clean and stick them on yourself.
I'd like an idea of how many I need to run, so please let me know.

Windows up is really the best solution, been running like that for a couple of years and it’s a real neck saver and safer.
Its only a problem in a few organizations that don’t allow the option to close windows.
Ive a free set if anyone wants.
