Porsche Exchange in IL posted one on their Facebook page last week. A GT Silver one. Not sure if it's this one?

Default Sunday morning with a 991 GT3RS

I want to let everybody know that this silver 991 GT3RS does not belong to me, it belongs to a customer. Before I made any posts concerning the car I spoke with him to make sure he was OK with it. Sometimes I wonder who enjoys these cars more, me or the actual owners? Having been involved with Porsche cars for more than 30 years now I can honestly say this is an amazing time if you are a Porsche lover. The ability to enjoy the truly iconic Porsches from the past and now the chance to greet this new generation of Porsche history is something I take with extreme joy and humility. My only motive is that I want to learn more about the cars. One of my pet peaves dealing with Porsche (the company) is that it often feels like the dealer network is still (IMHO) making the information too hard to get, or in the case of the failures of the 2014 991 GT3 cars, just tell us want the problem is in engineering terms. Those who can not understand will find somebody to explain it to them. That is why I have become a regular visitor to the Rennlist forums. Even though I spend 60-70 hours each week rubbing against Porsche cars of almost every variety, the information on this forum is astounding. In addition to the information, I have met some really interesting people thru the forum. It is getting harder and harder to keep up with the all the technical details of the new cars and at the same time deal with the "new" problems the older cars are having. Having TRAKCAR come over and sit in the car and hear his thoughts are invaluable to me, I rely on super-enthusiasts to help me push my knowledge base.

Right now the car has 20 miles on it, the owner will be here in a few weeks to look at the car for the first time, and it will still have 20 miles on it. So for now, although I wish I could take the 997.2 4.0, the 997.2 Cup Car, the 991 GT3 and a few other cars out the racetrack ( which is 20 minutes from our shop) and do a proper "Chris Harris style" testing on them, sadly I can not. But it will happen.

Now I have told you my secret. I am not the expert, I am the perpetual student. Although let it be known that I try really, really hard to get things done right!!

Default Any problems?

Yesterday alone there were more than 30 people that came by the shop to take a look at the new car, so I have not had much time to look the car over in super detail. I can say that upon first inspection the fitment of the carbon front fenders and hood is damn near perfect

Default Zwart Photos

I have always been a fan of those really interesting pictures on the back page of Excellence magazine that Jeff Zwart takes. He seems to find those shots that give a new appreciation to an angle of the car you have never noticed before. Well, I can't even figure out how to get these pictures sized correctly to they fit on your computer screen, so I guess we will have to wait for Zwart to let a camera show how beautiful the car is. That was a very long way to say, the 991 GT3RS looks much better in person than the pictures I am coming up with!

Orbit, just post the pics from the Rennlist website and not the mobile app. The mobile app has lots of issues and doesn't resize the photos.

What's your take on the GT3 engine issues? You guys work on these cars all the time right?

Default WOW !!!

Stunning pictures, I will never be able to top that!

One question. Can I purchase, thru you, the bolt in harness bar that you have in the back of your RS?

Please send me an email:

Mostly a very high end service and race shop but also buys and sells 911's for customers. many very nice cars stored there, like two PTS 4.0's....CGT's, 918's and old rare stuff.

I'm lucky to have them nearby :-)

Default WINDOW STICKER

What a deal.

I have already had a couple of PM's - the car is not for sale.

As they say, not for sale "At any price".

I wonder how much over sticker these cars will bring???
