I've already put Recaro's in my car for the track days that I do, they are actually fairly comfortable but getting the vertical height right took a couple of iterations. I have the reclining version so I can still use the rear compartment for briefcases, etc. These are a tight fit in the car side to side (not me), but my guy was able to do it -- look like they right.

I have also be in contact with Suncoast and was told that LWBs should be available through them later this Fall. No idea of pricing yet.

ok, i paid money now so let's see if I can get PMs. Tex is begging me to have ya'll direct PMs to me. IF you want to tell me * in your PM * how much you are offering, please do.

i do not know what color stitching they have. I have to go check.

Lastly, I cannot promise that they are pristine. They were pristine when i bought them. I had 3 track days in them, then my shop removed them. I have not given them the microscopic inspection that ya'll might want. Of course, I will provide pictures. I only just figured out how to pay so I am only in the Rennlist Green Group. Learning how to post pictures is what, Blue Solo?

thanks for your patience.

Maybe she doesn't give a crap about resale and is a real tracker. Those seats are a PITA to adapt for 6 pt harness race setup.

Besides not having a slot on the passenger side for the anti-submarine belts, what else makes them a PITA for 6 pt harness?

I'll give you time consuming but it's not that difficult....it's as straight forward as other setups save for the passenger cutout mod.

rockitman might be on to something there. ;-)

"Maybe she doesn't give a crap about resale and is a real tracker. "

As for the suitability of the LWB to tracking, yes, the passenger seat has no hole. (*facepalm* seriously?) There is also a question as to whether the cross bar underneath the seat is adequate as an anchor for the anti-sub strap. Additionally, for me, the headrest is next to the back of my head when helmetless, thus causing me to tilt my head forward when wearing a helmet. The resultant strain on the neck and impact of vision is unacceptable for me on the track. Lastly, for me the seat is too wide, making it unsuitable to me for track use.

Others' mileage varies, as is obvious from the demand for these seats.

There are reasons to love the seats. They feel really good, the slider is nice and the electric up and down button is great, and they are heated (I think, no maybe they aren't) and they look terrific in the car. ANd it's the same seats as in the 918.

Should i ever sell this car, it will likely be to someone who will track it and use racing seats, as I do. Non-trackers will find the car to be insufficiently pristine. ("It's been tracked? OMG!!" end of conversation)

by the way, the seats have grey stitching.

I don't track my GT3 as I have built Cayman S to do that, but I have taken the car out for a few hot laps to see what it can do. The bucket seats aren't great track seats, that's for sure, but they do keep me in place fairly well. The bling factory is high with these seats and they are the perfect size for my fat ***.

Another entertaining thread. First we had the sale of allocations then the above MSRP issues and now the bidding war for seats!! Keep it coming.

Throw the seats up on ebay and let's find out the true "market value" of the seats.

I'm taking the original seats out of my Speciale because I HATE them... But I'm sure gonna keep them for future! Getting rid of original seats, original wheels, original anything almost always turns out later to be a huge mistake.

Why did you hate them? Did it come with the racing seats ?
