I think if you guys get offered cars for $50k over list you are getting s bargain...the "stealers" (dealers) here in the UK are starting to already say that they are getting offers for £300k for any owners who want to sell them ...that's UK pounds !!!! Approx $450k .... Personally I think these car will command a 50% like the Gt3 does here ...so $50k is not unreasonable....

I've seen two 918s within a month. I'm thinking I'm less likely to see an RS anytime soon.

If they only do end up only selling around 700 RSs (with about 300 going to 918 owners) that's a real shame for the rest of us that are willing and able to buy one.

Anyhow, now that I know how the game is played...I have my one for the .2 GT3/4 cars at 3 dealers and will put my name down for the 992 GT3/4 cars when the time comes. Who knows, I may be willing to offer up my unicorn 1 of 1 PTS car as trade bait for a 991 RS to a collector who has a 991.1RS.
Pure speculation here and putting my investor hat on - the reason the US ended up with so many GT3 allocations is PAG has a 911 sales volume problem in the US for 2014. The PCNA figures include the 918 for 2014 as 911 figures I've seen went down slightly yoy in the US compared to a 1,914 unit increase from 2012 to 2013. 2015 is slightly up YTD, so they may or may not need to massage it with additional RS allocations. But clearly many factors in play so who knows at this point...

It's still early days. If the 991RS follows in the same path as the 991gt3 they will make one for every one that wants one. "Almost"
I would just stay calm and let the hype die down a little bit.
The number that has been coming up from time to time for the U.S market is 1000-1200 cars. I still believe that is close to the truth and should satisfy most demand.

I just picked up my GT3 recently a car that I waited patiently for about a year and a half. I'm extremely happy and greatful that I can enjoy this car. I'm not the kind of person who has to have the latest and greatest. I'm just learning this allocation game and wanted to be on a list somewhere so when the music stops in this musical chair game I won't be left standing around and holding my b@lls the next time around.
Same boat here.

Go back 15 pages and the same craze for gt3 happened - everyone got one

If you have throw away money sure offer 500 and get the very first one on the street, if you don't be smart wait 8 months and get one at msrp

And if you are the previously mentioned throw away money guy - I'm always looking for sponsors to win the next DE cup - money better spent imo
