A thread for the serfdom: those still waiting on RS allocations

I'd expect the 991.2 GT3 to drop for MY2017 (or whatever the model year after the first model year for the 991.2 is -- this varies between Euro and US, sometimes).
AP said probably no GT2 as the new RS is hardcore enough, but there will be a GT2 RS. From a March Autocar interview: "Preuninger confirmed that a new GT2 RS would be built but said it would not be for the existing series of the 911. Instead, it will come at the end of the life of the Gen 2 car, probably in 2018."
because I love Ferrari's cars. because I dislike how the factory treats some folks who haven't purchased 20+ Ferrari's, and actively own a 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo (prior to LaFerrari's release).

[QUOTE=GreenLantern;12411159]Yeah, I do believe the 991 GT3 engine issues delayed things a bit. That's why the 991.1 GT3 RS is one model year only. But I could be making that up.
Yeah never know what those Germans will do

There's practically no way PAG would not produce a 991.2 GT3 roughly ~one year after the 991.2 drops, and a 991.2 GT3 RS a year after that. PAG has pioneered the concept of milking a 911 generation by producing variants; it's unfathomable that they wouldn't do a GT3 + GT3 RS, and instead only do a GT2 RS.

If Porsche does not release a .2 3, 3RS, and special edition then this would be a weak generation and pretty poor showing for Porsche compared to the prior 997 iteration. In 2014 we had the stop sale, 2015 had LWB-gate, and the laughable pittance of PTS cars to dealers for them to gouge clients and a mythical 2016 allocation that many would have been better off playing mega millions. Hopefully Porsche ponies up for their GT customers and makes more 3's and finishes the 991 off with a bat **** crazy GT2. One can only hope.
