Default Cleaning Behind the Grill

Apologies if this has already been covered but I couldn't find it. So how do I clean out the crap that gets sucked in behind the front mesh? I've got a nice collection of gravel and now a cigarette butt back there. Thanks in advance.

Man I have the same problem and its driving me crazy. especially all the tiny rocks stuck in the radiator. I took a power wash and sprayed all of it, was much better but there are still small rocks in the radiator.

Master Blaster will blow the light stuff back out. Not sure about the rocks though. I had leaves blow right back out.

Yes. I don't have a Master Blaster but even a reasonably powerful leaf blower works to eject the stuff that builds up behind the screens.

I had a rock jammed into the screen on my engine lid! I had to use pliers to get it out

I use an air compressor with a small diameter tip at the end of the hand nozzle. Can really pin point the air flow.

So you were able to blow the stones back through the mesh?

I figured before I store every year will have dealer put up on lift, take off front wheels and mesh protector and remove debris. If it cost me an hour that they will charge I can live with it.

They were real tiny so I had no problem blowing them out. Only had two so far.

Whatever the object, if it's small enough to make it past the mesh in the first place, and it's loose (not wedged) behind the grill, then it's small enough to eventually come back out again with pressure from a strong air source. Actually, the first time I used a leaf blower I was surprised at out quickly all the crud came flying out.

The tiny rocks are also driving me crazy... Got out what I could, the rest is still wedged in there. Seems like they will be there for a little while.

Thanks for the tips guys. The leaf blower did the trick (for the most part).
