991 GT3 vs Speciale
I am about to pull the trigger on a speciale. I currently own a 991 2015 gt3 which I love and a 2009 Scud. I would appreciate thoughts from anyone who owns both the gt3 and the Speciale as to which car they prefer and why!

I have a GT3 and 458 Spider. Not exact. I like the cars for totally different reasons. the GT3 is just on a different planet when it comes to handling. the Ferrari is so light in the front end. If I want to be noticed I drive the 458. For a drive in the country, the GT3.

For me, I dont think you can get wrong if you replace a scud with a speciale. Although I would not be in a hurry to do it, prices would go down(speciale) and you scud would hold value or even go up.

The 458 is about 60% more fun on the street than the GT3 I traded in for it. To get 458 excitement from a GT3 you must be on the track. The Ferrari is fun from 1st gear on up. Just my opinion...your mileage may vary.

I have the GT3, but I've never driven anything that comes close to the speciale. I can say that its the best car I've ever driven, and I'd be really surprised if it doesnt keep going up in price.

I've driven the 458. I have a GT3. 458 blew me away in 2011 when I drove it, but did nothing to me n 2014 after driving the the GT3. My humble opinion.
Speciale if you afford it. All power to you....I can't. I think the comparison should be with the RS though. I would love to have an RS. I can afford it but I can't have it. If only I can get an allocation

If you can afford both it's not even close. Speciale all the way. Looks 100x better and the GT3 will be replaced by a newer better version in a year or two while the Speciale is probably the last NA mid-engine Ferrari sports car.
Not to mention that a lot of the recent rise in Porsche's values is due to the same 'muscle-car' craze of the 90's. Once our generation starts to die off; the younger below-30 generation is beginning to look at Porsche as Germany's Lexus and won't hold a candle to the prestige Ferrari has.
Porsche will probably send the NA motor off with some sort of Limited 991 GT3 RS .2; that's the Porsche version of the Speciale.
...not to mention the 991 GT3 interior is basically the same as a $45,000 Boxster.
Too bad you weren't living in Europe where the Speciale is cheaper than the 991 GT3 RS right now.
