Thinking of selling...Questioning dealer offer.
I've kind of got it in my head to sell my 2015 GT3. With only 1600 miles since late January and for a variety of reasons, it has become a garage queen. It's a low optioned car at 139K MSRP which is what I paid, but does have the extended range tank and lift. With full front, rockers and rear behind the wheels done with Expel, my dealer made me an offer of $132,500. That probably is the auction price and my guess is he'll sell it for MSRP + with the Expel treatment. I'm not trying to sell it on this thread, just asking if the dealer is treating a good customer fairly in your opinion.

Sounds a little low…
Try to sell yourself. You have a low MSRP GT3 which is at a great price point. You most likely can sell the car for MSRP so why not give it a try and sell yourself. If you need to move quickly try other dealers or see if you can get them a little higher on the trade number to avoid the headache of selling yourself. The dealer has to protect themselves and make some money so they need a $5000-$7000 cushion at least to take the car in...

Dealer is a business that turns over cars regularly, that's one of their core competencies, but they have overhead.
Take some nice pictures and spend an hour writing an ad for the car. List it here for $145 (or more?) and see where it hits a bid. It will be higher than $132.

My dealer is giving me $8k under MSRP when I trade it, which after tax is $8k over MSRP. Really not worth the time and effort to try to make the extra $2k imo. But again, your call.

GT3s are still selling for MSRP and above at auction. Two went through an open sale a couple of weeks ago. Also, sgroer here on rennlist got about $1K below msrp on trade. At the end of the day i agree that 'ease of transaction' has a certain value. Good luck!

Thinking the same thing. Will do that tomorrow. He originally offered $130,000 today but said he could go to $132,500 for the Xpel but would have to get the owners permission (?) So he may be stuck there. In the meantime, I've taken ZZinger's advice and put it in the Rennlist market place just to see if I get any interest. Not a fire sale by any means and I am still back and forth on selling. Such a fantastic car so you can understand some reluctance on my part.
Thanks to all of your for your input! Very much appreciated!

as a data point, i just recently sold mine, wanting an RS or something outside Porsche... i love the gt3 but getting a bug for something more, brighter, rawer, etc.
i listed it on rennlist and got a lot of interest immediately, no autotrader, dealers, etc. I sold it w/ 5k miles for MSRP. I probably sold it for a bit less than I could have, but I considered it good karma. I sold it to a local who is very good on the track and happens to be a middle aged woman with a lot of guts and just a really great and unique person.
I talked to my dealer briefly, and didn't negotiate much, but they didn't want to give MSRP for the car.
