(Voice of Hans & Franz): Hear me now and believe me later... you look like a girly-man if you don't have a 3/4 ton diesel pulling a 24' (preferably an even longer gooseneck) TPD enclosed trailer.

Did you clear your post with Heidi first: copywrite issue?

I see you are using also an SUV. No instability in the highways?

I have towed over 30,000 miles with the Cayenne, numerous very long trips..Toronto to Phoenix multiple times right across the windy high plains, through storms, the lot. Often with a heavier car on the back. No stability problems. Obviously I have a trailer controller and set up the bias properly.

I use an F150 with ecoboost V6, 3.5l twin turbo. Easy to forget that the trailer/car are even back there. But lots of people use suv's.

My setup. 2009 Pace American Shadow GT 28'. I got tired of hoofing my fat **** out of the window and falling out the side door. I installed a Harbor Freight 12,000 winch with the remote control two weeks ago when I went to VIR. Works perfectly.

The cayenne gas or diesel will pull a Trailex anywhere. It's a popular combination as the Cayenne is such a comfortable ride. Also the "aero II" mirrors attach easily to the Cayenne outside mirrors and provide the required visibility with an enclosed trailer. I also put a sign on the back of the trailer that reads :

" if you can't see my mirrors I can't see you "

Trailex is hard to beat and with side door no issues with getting in and out of car.

I just saw this in their website. It $17000. But it solves some of the issues, light enough for a SUV and easy in and out. With this trailer, I do not have to buy another truck.

I like your setup. I wish I have a truck.

I am hoping to use the same tie-downs for the cup and street GT3.

thxbuff2001, how about you? What tie-down straps / lengths did you use? They look like they are locking hooks rather than double-j's, but hard to tell in the pic.

Thanks!
Mac's Custom tie downs are the best:

Warn Winch with wireless remote and synthetic rope- easy, just walk it in and set it in park. You will need a broom handle though with the PDK.

This is what I have- the synthetic rope is money!:

You will want the wireless remote:
