Is the GT3 / RS as raw as a Speciale?
I've never driven a GT3 but have owned a Turbo S (a very comfortable car). I have an RS hopefully coming later this year and I just bought a Speciale just last week. The car is unreal; really jerky, quite stiff, loud as hell, little sound deadening and I f***ing love it. The "bumpy road" setting makes it a taaad bit user friendly but it's not fooling anyone, especially with those harnesses. I think the Speciale's faults are very few; AC is s***, seats too low that lead to poor front visibility and is quite uncomfortable after a good long ride. However, it's an occasion, one that I think the RS will absolutely trump. I know a guy who has a 4.0 and he says it's much stiffer and hairy than his Speciale. So any inputs?

I just bought a speciale as well. I had a 991 gt3. Although you can easily setup a gt3 to be race car stiff. The speciale is way more raw than the gt3 but the tranny on the 991 is better imo. Some of the speciale shifts are a bit harsh. But I love the car.

As mentioned the PDK is a much smoother transmission than the the F1 in the Speciale. Also the Speciale seems to have more of a gutted interior than the GT3 RS with the bare carbon carbon doors, no carpets, and the bolted down seats. So yes I would say the Speciale is a bit more raw than the RS.

The speciale is definitely more raw than a GT3 . I know lots of poeple here and in these forums that DD the GT3 , the PDK and the suspension is comfortable in the 991 in comparison with the 997 and the special e

I honestly dont know how people can DD a GT3. I love mine but no way I could drive everyday. Its jerky on low revs, its stiff, and it shakes and does too many noises..
Again, I love the GT3, but no way every day.

The 991 GT3 is easily soft enough to drive daily...especially with the pdk these days.
Speciale is def more raw and visceral and showy

I plan to dd my GT3 probably 4-5 days/week, season and work location depending... I don't have it yet, though, so I suppose we will see!
